Harlow For A Boy?

I actually think Harlow sounds better on a boy than on a girl, even though I know it’s way more common on girls. I also think Marlowe/Marlow sounds better on a boy, though that’s partly because I associate it heavily with Christopher Marlowe. Harlow feels so similar to Harlan and Arlo that they almost blend together (and I like both of those names a lot).

If you’re worried about people thinking it’s a “girl name” you could use either one of those as a replacement, I think they hold just as much charm. Judd Harlow sounds fine, but whichever name goes first really just depends on what the surname is.

Not sure [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] works for a boy. Maybe one of these would work.
[name_m]Harlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Barlow[/name_m]
[name_u]Baylor[/name_u]
[name_m]Harmon[/name_m]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]
[name_f]Garland[/name_f]
Hatcher

I think surnames are equally usable for males and females. Someone mentioned [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] (actually her mother’s maiden name), but she had male family members who also shared her surname, so it is not inherently feminine.

I really love the combination of [name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_f]Harlow[/name_f] - it has good flow and balance.
