[name]Hi[/name], I have some questions about the name [name]Harriet[/name]
-
do you think if I named my daughter [name]Harriet[/name], she would get teased because of her name?
-
do you think in 10+ years it will get a bit more popular in the US?
Thanks for anyone who can help!
I’m afraid she might get teased. Would you call her [name]Harriet[/name] or is there a nn that you have in mind? I don’t really see it becoming that popular, I don’t know any. [name]Just[/name] my thoughts!
I love the name and can’t wait to meet a little [name]Harriet[/name]. I don’t think there would be any more teasing than the average kid might get. As [name]Hazel[/name] becomes too popular, [name]Harriet[/name] may sneak in but I can’t see it becoming top 100 very soon at all.
I love the nn [name]Harry[/name] for a girl!
I would call her [name]Hattie[/name] as well so if some teasing goes on she can use [name]Hattie[/name].

Thanks for the reply!
I love [name]Harriet[/name]. I don’t think I would ever use it, but it’s one of my faves. I could see some teasing potential, but if kids are going to tease, they’re going to tease. I can’t see it becoming super popular, but I can see it rising (at least a little.) [name]Hattie[/name] and [name]Harry[/name] are adorable nicknames.
I think [name]Harriet[/name] is fine. Different or strange or older names are being accepted as more interesting names come into the spotlight. Personally, I don’t believe any teasing will be a problem.
