Harriet's Popularity

[name]Do[/name] you think [name]Harriet[/name] will become really popular in 10-15 years in the US? If so how popular will you think it will get?

Thanks,
[name]Payton[/name]

I don’t think [name]Harriet[/name] will become very popular in the US. It’s an aquired taste. However, I do see [name]Harriet[/name]'s nn [name]Hattie[/name] getting more popular now that it’s in the top 1,000 but it still has a long way to go before I could define it as “popular”. But who knows for sure? A celebrity or reality star could pop up in the future and a certain name could explode.

Exactly what came to mind for me too.

Oh gosh, I hope a celebrity doesn’t use [name]Harriet[/name]! Haha (: thanks for the reply.

I can’t see it becoming super popular, unless the overall trend strays away from “liquid names” ([name]Ella[/name], [name]Bella[/name], [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Lola[/name], [name]Layla[/name], etc.) and “princessy classics” ([name]Ava[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Sophia[/name]). [name]Harriet[/name] has the advantage of not ending in -a, either, which most of the popular girls names seem to to these days. So, there’d have to be a major aesthetic shift in naming preferences, I’d say.

Thank you(:
