Harrison, Finn or Bennett?

[name_f]My[/name_f] wife is due with our first baby in about a week and we’re still kicking around boys names. We actually don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, but we’re fairly set on a girl’s name ([name_f]Cora[/name_f]).

For boys, we’d be looking at:

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] (fairly unlikely; just sort of a late contender that popped up. Worried it’s too trendy-sounding.)

Our last name is a somewhat unusual Polish name beginning with G (sounds a bit like [name_u]Green[/name_u]-ah). [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] would be after my wife’s grandpa, [name_m]Harry[/name_m], while [name_u]Dean[/name_u] comes from my own grandfather.

Any preferences from people? Thanks for any advice!

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] sound perfect together. I actually tried to write a book (part of one, anyway) where the characters were named Fen and [name_f]Cora[/name_f].

I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], it’s definitely my favourite! But I really like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] as well. They’re both great!

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourite is [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] but with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] I really love [name_u]Finn[/name_u]!

I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] the most. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] seem too popular to me.

Honestly, I really like all 3. I do like Finn best with Cora, but if it’s a boy, who knows if you’ll end up with a Cora in the future. So between your top 2 contenders, my favorite first name is Bennett, but Harrison is very handsome too. You can’t go wrong!

It just occurred to me that Dean rhymes with “Green” in your last name though. Have you considered Harrison Bennett or Bennett Harrison?

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] is the best by far, if you’re worried about popularity.

I adore [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but it’s HUGE right now and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] is everyone’s answer to liking [name_m]Ben[/name_m] but not wanting to go with uber-popular [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Harris[/name_m] / [name_m]Harry[/name_m] or my fave nn Hass and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] work very well for a sibset one day.

I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but understand that it is trending upward. I think it is wonderful you to honor your Grandfathers. You hardly hear [name_u]Dean[/name_u] used as a middle anymore.

[name_m]Harrisson[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] Is my first pick. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] goes quite well togethr…seems old world chic!

In order of my personal preference (favorite to least favorite): [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] would be my pick. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is cute too, but I agree that it does sound trendy. And while I don’t know anyone named [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], I know a lot of Bens. [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] seems more uncommon to me, plus I like that it honors both grandfathers. It also sounds great with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] if you have a daughter in the future.

You really can’t go wrong with any of them! [name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. That combo is perfect!

[name_f]My[/name_f] fav is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].
I’m due soon and if it’s a boy he’ll be [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] or [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m].

[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is my favourite out of the three, but when taking middle names into account, I prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].

Thanks to everyone for all of the help! Lots of great insight here. I think I probably lean toward [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] because if we ever have doubts about the name, we can always fall back on both names having family meaning. Tough to say though; my wife will probably get the final say given that she’ll have just delivered a baby.

I like [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u], if you have a girl in the future I think [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] would be a perfect pair. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] feels to trendy and modern compared to the other names on your list. I prefer [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] to [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]Dean[/name_u].
