I’m expecting boy/girl twins and although I love these two names, am considered on whether they are too matchy. I worry because I plan in ideally 3-6 years to have a third baby…
My other favorite for a boy is [name_m]Peter[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] are even more matchy.
They are a little matchy, but if you love them, I’d use them. What about [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]?
I don’t find them too matchy at all. You would never mistake one for the other, which I think is key where matchiness is concerned. They both are English words or homonyms of English words, but lots of names are, so as long as that doesn’t bother you I think it’s fine.
I do also like the above suggestion of [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as nicknames - I’m really fond of [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for all its nickname options.
I do not think they are too matchy at all. They are very distinctly two different names. I also do not think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] are too matchy.
