I want [name_u]Robert[/name_u] as a middle name… so which one?
[name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] Surname
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] Surname
[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] Surname
Worried [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] is a backwards version of [name_u]Robert[/name_u] [name_m]Louis[/name_m] Stevenson…
This is a hard one - all three first names are good names and all work well for Edward’s brother. They all also work well with [name_u]Robert[/name_u] in the middle.
I’ve tossed between [name_u]Harry[/name_u] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] as my favourite, but edge towards [name_m]Louis[/name_m] as it’s less used.
[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] is great — I grew up with a constant stream of [name_u]Robert[/name_u] [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Stevenson[/name_m] and never once thought about him as I read the name. I also think [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] would be awesome as well.
As long as the surname isn’t [name_m]Stevenson[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] is just fine. I love the name [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and it’s perfect with [name_u]Edward[/name_u].
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]! (unless you are going for the LOU-is Pronunciation then I would go for [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] because I find the flow of [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] a little to ‘r’ heavy - but I do love Harry!)
I like [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] and unless your surname is [name_m]Stevenson[/name_m], i wouldn’t worry about the [name_u]Robert[/name_u] [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Stevenson[/name_m] connection
I like [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] and [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_u]Robert[/name_u] the best… I don’t think a ton of people are going to make the novelist connection via [name_u]Robert[/name_u] [name_m]Stevenson[/name_m], unfortunately many people today are not as well read as their previous generation and maybe place of residence will effect recognition as well. For example, living in [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] vs Australia.
Both are not common in little boys in my area, I see [name_u]Harry[/name_u] blowing up more than [name_m]Louis[/name_m] because of [name_u]Prince[/name_u] [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and this is not a bad person to be tied to.
If you want to go with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] perhaps try an alternate spelling - [name_u]Louie[/name_u] [name_u]Robert[/name_u]. I prefer the [name_u]Louie[/name_u] spelling to [name_m]Louis[/name_m] anyway. And then there is the Swedish [name_m]Loui[/name_m].
I think [name_m]Louis[/name_m] fits best with [name_u]Edward[/name_u], but [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] is definitely my favorite and that outweighs the sibling matching for me! Although I think it goes really nicely too.
