Hello…
What are people’s thoughts on this name for a boy?
Does it sound like a ‘hard’ or a ‘soft’ name??

I really love it but not sure if it will make people think of a love heart?
Or will it get mistaken for the word Hard…?

Would love to hear any opinions!

I love the name [name_m]Hart[/name_m] for a boy!
I think it would be more of a ‘soft’ name. I do agree with you, it could get mistaken for a love heart but would that really be a big problem? I think if [name_m]Hart[/name_m] had an obvious boy’s middle name it would be alright.

I really like the name [name_m]Hart[/name_m]!

It has a harder feel to me, and not because of the similarity to the word hard. I think because it seems truncated and punchy it has a masculine zip to me.

I dont think the obvious association with heart is overshadowing.

I like the name [name_m]Hart[/name_m]! I prefer [name_u]Hartley[/name_u], nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m], but I like it by itself as well.

[name_m]Hart[/name_m] does feel like a softer and gentler name, but I could see it wearing well on both a social, “cool”, laid-back kind of boy or a sensitive, intelligent and introspective one. It makes me think of deer rather than of hearts when spelled out, but when spoken out loud it does bring up the association of hearts.
