[name_u]Hartley[/name_u] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] arrived 11 days early! He surprised us all after the Dr insisted I wouldn’t go into labour on the Friday and booked us in for a CS for the day before his due date - then I went into labour on the [name_f]Monday[/name_f] ( I was so convinced by the Dr that I didn’t believe I was in labour until about 16 hours in and 7CM!). Very happy to have achieved the VBAC i wanted despite over 24 hrs of labour and some health complications at the end for me.
[name_u]Hartley[/name_u] was born on 7th [name_f]February[/name_f] weighing 7Lbs 7oz.
He is named in honour of my Mum because she is the heart of our family, she taught me to follow my heart, to be passionate about my life and work, to work hard, to include others in the love of your family, to be generous with your time for others. She taught me to be true to myself and to accept people for everything they are is to truly love them. I love that the ‘[name_m]Hart[/name_m]’ has so many positive associations within literature, links to adventure, purity, the gateway to fantasy lands, family and strength of character. I spent a long time on the forums and searching for the right name to sum up how I feel about my Mum and each one felt too narrow, this was the name that we kept coming back to and it was the one that always made my husband and I smile. It fits him perfectly.
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] is after my Uncle and [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is after my close family friend. Both of these men have been my father figures and they have amazing qualities that I hope [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] will have too. They are both caring, kind, generous, fun and intelligent and I hope that they will be big influences in [name_u]Hartley[/name_u]'s life. They also both have amazing partners that they treat with love, respect and consideration and I hope that [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] will look at these partnerships as a guide when he is looking for a soulmate in years to come.
Both my sons have honour names to live up to and so far they are doing a great job. Thank you to everyone that helped on the forums and especially to those who suggested [name_u]Hartley[/name_u] when I couldn’t get hubby on board with [name_m]Hart[/name_m]!
