I am due in early [name_u]December[/name_u] and I’m finding it impossible to even start a list for babes name…we find out gender at 20 weeks at the anatomy scan (currently 15w) and I really wanted to have a list of names for boy or girl to start narrowing down once we know.
I think the problem is both my fiancé and I really really love the name Wacey for a boy, but literally everyone HATES it… I don’t even know where to go from here, and no other names give me the same feeling Wacey does.
Anyone else experience this, and what did you do?! Any and all suggestions welcome!
What’s the story behind Wacey? It’s hard to give suggestions based on one very unusual name.
I heard Wacey for the first time a few years ago, when our local AHL hockey team drafted a player named Wacey [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. I’d never heard the name before but I fell in love with it. I honestly don’t know why I love it so much, it just has that familiar sound without being trendy or popular at all. My fiancé and I both love hockey so I love the association with the AHL/NHL, but I also just love the name in general.
To me it seems like a nn for [name_u]Wallace[/name_u]. Maybe if your friends/family aren’t on board with Wacey you could call him that for a nickname.
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] is a lovely alternative (isn’t too popular either, as it seems that’s important to you).
