Ok we have settled on [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] it its a girl! Yay! Its the full name, not short for [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] etc. My husband wants to spell it Haddie?
I dont want her to have a made up and and much prefer [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. Should I consider the Haddie spelling? Any ideas?
I think Haddie’s okay if it’s a nn for [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], but if it’s just [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]/Haddie, I would definitely go for the traditional [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] spelling! I would think it’d get annoying/frustrating to always be saying, "It’s Haddie. Erm, no, with "D"s instead of “T"s. No, it’s not short for anything. [name_m]Just[/name_m] Haddie.” I mean, I think I’d get slightly annoyed at explaining it’s just [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], but the additional spelling corrections would be more than what I would want to deal with. Haddie’s cute, but I would definitely stick with [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]. [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is really cute! And [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] are adorable together.
I’d stick with the double T spelling as well. The Haddie spelling just looks off to me.
Choose [name_f]HATTIE[/name_f]!!!
Thank you! It will be [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] or we will have to keep looking, I think he will be ok with it.
[name_f]EDIT[/name_f]: And if he isnt then I will be back!
