Hattie???

After weeks of me badgering my oh about names he likes hes finally come up with [name]Hattie[/name]. Not [name]Harriet[/name], just [name]Hattie[/name]. I quite like it but im not in love with it. What would you have as a middle name to [name]Hattie[/name]?? I have no ideas so all suggestions welcome. Thanks

[name]Ella[/name] and [name]Hattie[/name] are so cute. I personally like it.
[name]Hattie[/name] works with a lot of middle names.

[name]Hattie[/name] [name]Maria[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Abigail[/name].

Really anything works and any length.

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hattie[/name]! OH and I were down to [name]Hattie[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name] for our first daughter but decided on [name]Lottie[/name] to honor a [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Hattie[/name] is adorable especially with [name]Ella[/name]. I like [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Brooke[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]

[name]Hattie[/name] is an NB favorite at the moment, so I’m definitely in the minority when I say I can’t stand it.

I like [name]Harriet[/name] even less, but still. I’m not opposed to nicknames-as-first-names in general, I just can’t see [name]Hattie[/name] aging well at all.

Thankyou for your suggestions and opinions. Im still not in love with [name]Hattie[/name]. Maybe itll grow on me…?

Would he like [name]Hadley[/name]? nn Haddy?

I adore [name]Hattie[/name]! Always like [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].

He doesnt. He has quite classic taste. Apparently [name]Hadley[/name] is too different?!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Hattie[/name]! I can’t stand [name]Harriet[/name] or [name]Henrietta[/name] but [name]Hattie[/name] is charming vintage. I am currently in love with the combo [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name].
I also like [name]Hattie[/name] as a nn for [name]Tabitha[/name].
[name]Hadley[/name] is really trendy and I don’t like it at all.

I do mostly like the name [name]Hattie[/name] HOWEVER, what actually bothers me the most about this name is its history. [name]Hattie[/name] was commonly a name given to lower class ladies who were maids or house servants. [name]Ever[/name] since I discovered the background on the name it has always been tainted and less pleasant as a selection.

[name]Beatrice[/name] is beautiful.

[name]Ella[/name] & [name]Louisa[/name] would be adorable. Nickname [name]Lulu[/name].

[name]Louisa[/name] is lovely but too close to my own middle name and [name]Lulu[/name] is my nn!!

I like [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] or [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Valentina[/name]!

I love [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Valentina[/name]

I adore [name]Hattie[/name] and love the combination [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Matilda[/name].

I love [name]Hattie[/name]! I don’t think I could ever use it b/c I know my husband wouldn’t like it. But I love. Super cute!! I like one syllable middle names when you have a 2 syllable first. Like [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Maude[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Grace[/name], etc. That said, my daughter has a 2 syllable first with a 4 syllable second. [name]Hattie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]…also nice. I guess it would depend if you have any family names you want to use!

I really like this name. It definitely has vintage charm and I can see it growing with a little girl. I see it on a sweet yet sassy girl!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Hattie[/name]. Really dislike [name]Hadley[/name] though.

Maybe [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Lottie[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name] nn [name]Maddie[/name]? Much more common though…

I really dislike [name]Hattie[/name] - like a previous poster said, it has historical connotations of being a lower-class, maid, or servant type name. Also, it sounds too much like a nickname for my taste.

Names that have a similar feel but that I like more are (all in their nn form, for whatever longer name you’d want)
[name]Polly[/name]
[name]Dollie[/name]
[name]Nellie[/name]
