Due with our fourth soon, and we don’t know where to start on names! We have [name_m]Judah[/name_m], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] ([name_f]Ginny[/name_f]), and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]. We are thinking about the name Hatton, since it has personal significance, but when we tell other people, they don’t seem to understand what we are saying. Any other suggestions??
I like Hatton especially if it has personal significance to you. You could always use it as a middle name if you are worried about it though.
With your kids I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], [name_m]Anders[/name_m]/[name_m]Anderson[/name_m], [name_m]Callum[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], and and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m].
It isn’t unusable, but I would use it as his middle name.
I agree that if it is important to you, you should use it. Probably as a middle name though.
A bit late to this, but one of our boys is named [name_m]Haddon[/name_m] (similar sounding). We had a few people go, “Huh?” or “Er…what?” when we introduced him, but I just spell it out like “H-A-D-D-O-N, [name_m]Haddon[/name_m], just like it sounds.” Easily clears up confusion, particularly in our family at first, where we have people in our family whose first languages range from Greek to Japanese. If it’s a name that’s important to you or that you love, use it!
We’ve also never had mispronunciation problems, which I worried about (our last name is commonly mispronounced, so I tried to save our guy the pain of also having his first name mispronounced). We also have a [name_m]Judah[/name_m], you can trust me.
