It’s me again! This time I really need everybody’s help.
Another story I’m working on is called “Haunted,” and it has two main characters: an eighteen-year-old girl and a twenty-five-year-old detective.
The Girl: is a college freshman struggling to recover from the horror of losing her boyfriend and best friend, on two separate occasions, to cruel acts of violence. She is vulnerable, but extremely empathetic and compassionate. She has a loving father and a supportive stepmother. In the beginning, she is a blonde, but dies her hair back to its original auburn towards the middle of the story, and she has brown eyes. When a classmate is murdered on campus, she feels as though she has to get involved, which is how she meets the cop, who is the other protagonist/narrator.
The Cop: is a smart, quick-witted twenty-five-year-old rookie detective. He is a necromancer, which means he can see, hear, and communicate with ghosts, and he secretly uses his ability to help him with his job. He meets the girl while investigating a murder that took place on her college campus and feels incredibly drawn to her, wanting to keep her as close to him as possible. He is tall and dark-haired, with hazel eyes and a well-toned body.
The two protagonists start out with a friendly relationship that gradually becomes friends-with-potential-of-becoming-more. She is aware of the supernatural world and he is suddenly haunted by a ghost he thinks might be the girl’s murdered boyfriend. Though he doesn’t always want her to, she helps him solve murders that take place around the city.
I cannot think of any names for these two! Please help! First and last names, middle names optional. And if you can think of any names for the girl’s boyfriend, best friend, dad, stepmother, and the cop’s (male) partner, that would be great!
