Haviland, Annabeth or...?

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due 2 weeks from now and we are still deciding on a name. We like unique southern/preppy names and also Biblical names. So far we are thinking Haviland or [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], but are open to other suggestions. Middle name will be [name_f]Marie[/name_f] and last name starts with B.

I had never heard of Haviland until your post but I really like it! I think it is unique and flows well with [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. So Haviland [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is my favorite followed by [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I really like [name_f]Garland[/name_f] as well. [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] are good names but not aren’t super unique. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] sounds more masculine to me, but I do know a sweet Southern girl by the name [name_m]Sadler[/name_m], so I think it could work on a girl if you love it.

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know how to pronounce Haviland but don’t like it at all. So, [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] by a landslide. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is my favorite, it’s beautiful.

I love [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. My second choice would be [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]. Although I would prefer; [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], Anneline, [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], or [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].

I’m a fan of both names but I think [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] might go over better with most people. I love [name_m]Adler[/name_m]!

Haviland sounds unique and pretty. I also like [name_f]Garland[/name_f]… [name_m]Just[/name_m] sounds elegant.

I actually quite like Haviland (although I keep wanting to spell it Havilland, like the actress). The other option I like a lot is [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] - so elegant and beautiful.

Haviland is interesting. Mix of the Jewish/Biblical [name_f]Havilah[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] de Havilland. It has a feel similar to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. Reminds me of [name_f]Heleanor[/name_f] and Allesand. If you’re brave enough for it I think it could work well in the South.

[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] is much more familiar, but still beautiful.

Looking at your list it reminded me of a little girl named [name_f]Adelia[/name_f] that I once knew.

I love the choice of Haviland. I think there are tons of nickname possibilities and it definitely hits the Southern preppy feel. [name_f]Garland[/name_f] is a great choice, as well!

I think since [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is such a common middle name, you should use a more uncommon first name. Chances are, she will meet another girl named [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] is all boy to me so I’m not a fan of that one either. [name_f]Garland[/name_f] doesn’t strike me as a name. I actually really like Haviland!
