Having a Boy - help me expand my potential list

Found out last week that this baby, our first, is a boy! I had a huge selection of names, 2/3 of which my husband nixed right out of the gate. Now I’m in expand-the-list-to-every-possibility mode. We like first names that aren’t top 50, I like them a bit more unusual than DH does.

Two syllables, most likely, for flow.
Last name sounds like [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
Middle name will probably be [name_m]Martin[/name_m], [name_m]Charles[/name_m], or [name_u]James[/name_u]

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Simon[/name_m], I wish DH had even semi agreed because then our name search would be more settled
He likes [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] which are too popular for me, even though [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] would be fine.

I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m]! [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] is nice too but the meaning kind of ruins the name for me. Maybe you could use the names both you and your husband like as middles?

Congratulations on your baby-to-be!
I think [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], [name_m]Roland[/name_m], and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] are handsome, wonderful names and seem to fit your criteria really well. [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] would also be lovely choices, but I understand the popularity concern. I do have to say though, don’t let popularity deter you from a name you really love! Sometimes names are popular because they’re just so awesome :slight_smile: That being said, I don’t know if that applies to you, and here are some more suggestions:
