My favourites of your options are [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - for what it’s worth, [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is really popular in the UK so the poopy thing hasn’t really become a problem.
I would also like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] or [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is delightful!! Please choose that one. I wouldn’t let poopy deter you!
What about [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]? I really like that and you could use [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as a nickname
Thank you for your feedback! It’s really pushing me towards [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]. I’ve been really warming to the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] lately too, so I think it’s definitely in the running.
I love [name_f]Freya[/name_f], so not sure why I’m not feeling it for this baby girl.
I like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I don’t think kids will call a [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] “poopy”, [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is becoming more popular.
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]- [name_m]Favorite[/name_m]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]- Beautiful Combination
[name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]- They’re Okay. I like [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] best.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]- I agree totally. I love the nicknames [name_f]Indie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f], just not sold on [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].
Suggestions:
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Indie[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
I wanted to vote for both [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - both lovely and great with the siblings. I would avoid another L name myself.
What about another name with nn [name_f]Indie[/name_f] - [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] or the more quirky [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]? [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Or just [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the full name - I find the simpler [name_f]Rose[/name_f] more attractive than the longer forms and you still get nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f].
I also love the idea of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a first name - [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] as a first, and all its great nns.
I have a wildcard suggestion: What if you named her [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and called her [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] for short? It incorporates three of your favorites, your husband will feel more at ease with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as a nickname for the more stately [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f], and the idea of sisters named [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is just too darling!
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] got my vote, as it’s both a lovely name, and seems to be the option with the least negatives for you (I really don’t think ‘poopy’ is something to worry about at all). Actually, apparently pippa is a slang term for particular sexual acts in many languages (Italian, Swedish), so I’d likely be more worried about [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] than [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] in that sense.
I think [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] “[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]” would be a nice idea, incorporating both your own and your husbands loves, giving a more substantial full first as he seems to prefer, and your current love for [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].
Personally, mixing-and-matching a bit, I would like to see [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f], as I think that would be just gorgeous!
You have a great taste! So many beautiful names!
I voted for [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], but all combinations are adorable.
My favorite to least favorite:
Considering your oldest children’s names, I actually think that [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] are the perfect names for [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f]'s little sister.
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is my favourite and works beautifully in the sibset.
I’m afraid I agree with your husband–I think [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is gorgeous. I think [name_m]Pip[/name_m]/[name_f]Pippa[/name_f] are great nicknames, and I like that it has a strong L sound but doesn’t begin with L, so it’s not too far from the sibling names.
Also, [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] are so close, but [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] has the benefit of not being a name for a grandfather (one of mine was Pappy, and some people’s accents made it the same as [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]). Plus, [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] could go by [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] should she ever want something more regal or serious to go by.
I think [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would be a standout. I also like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a first name, and I prefer [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] from the options.
I don’t particularly love [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] with [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f], (though I do quite like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] for you) but either would still be good. They are too beautiful to be bad choices. I do like [name_f]Freya[/name_f], but I get not wanting the same ending.
[name_f]Louise[/name_f] would be a LOT of L, and, unless you are 100% sure this is the last baby or you like several other L options for future kids, I’d avoid that pattern.
Final vote:
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] “[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]” [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] /[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] - I love the NN [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Indie[/name_f]. It has a familiar to a classic feel that ages well and NNs to go along with age brackets.
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is something that has appeal to me more so than [name_f]Florence[/name_f] but if [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is honouring someone it still sounds stunning.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is my close runner up of your choices. I love [name_f]Freya[/name_f] so much - maybe I little personal meaning as she is the [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] of Fertility and that is something I currently struggle with. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is a sweet classic sounding name. I would be inclined to use [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
Ok now some negative, I’m sorry, but just to help and maybe give more insight?
I have always found [name_f]Louise[/name_f] very bland… I much prefer [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]? [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]?
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is a sweet sounding name but something about it sounds off… too many soft syllables? Maybe. [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]? ^[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]?
I have the same feeling as your husband on [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].
Final Favourites:
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] “[name_f]Indie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” [name_f]Florence[/name_f]/[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Louise[/name_f]?
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
This is exactly what I was going to suggest! If I can’t convince you :
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], I think she fits in with your other kids, but am turned off by the NN [name_f]Trixie[/name_f]. [name_f]Bea[/name_f] and [name_f]Bee[/name_f] are lovely though
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]- I like it, but it’s three Ls. You like what you like but personally I would want something else
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]- I love it. I think it fits in well and the fact it ends in an a is really not a big deal. I would not have noticed if you didn’t point it out. My gut is its not about the ending, it’s you’re simply not feeling it so I’d move on
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]- I’d move on. If you aren’t keen on just naming her [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or indie and the other [name_f]Rose[/name_f] variants are not appealing I would just move on. Although [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] was great suggestion for [name_f]Indie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]- I think as a standalone works well with your other kids and I don’t think poopy will be a thing other than like hearted jabs from her older siblings. I think this goes the best with her siblings. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] are other ways to get poppy. [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] is my favorite though!
I agree completely with @yellowplums
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (nn Pips, [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f])
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
This is input if fabulous. I think it helped reinforce some of the things I had been considering and also give a fresh set of ideas.
My husband loves the idea of [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. His dad who passed before I met him had the middle name [name_m]Phillip[/name_m], so I think this means a lot to him personally. I guess I have a harder time seeing it as a path to [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], but I also don’t see why not. I really like this idea as a compromise and lovely name in general. [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] feels like a sweet option too that I hadn’t thought of. It feels like it gives a lighter feel to the stately first name of [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f].
I had never considered [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], but again, my husband loved this. I love that the NN [name_f]Indie[/name_f] can be used. I can just envision cheering on my little future soccer player by this name(or whatever suits her:) )
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a great suggestion for an alternative to [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I had always loved [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but right now I’m not feeling it. I agree with the too many L’s as well.
I’m still really feeling [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], especially with the fresh set of first middle combos. Such wonderful input. Thank you!!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] want to add that [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] with nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is a great idea. I like [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]/[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]/[name_f]Pippa[/name_f], and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]/[name_f]Indie[/name_f] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] rather than [name_f]Louise[/name_f], with your sibset. I agree with the pp that [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is more appealing than [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. It has that playfulness to it but the classic strength of [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. I wouldn’t worry about ‘poopy’. Most kids aren’t that creative lol.
Your other two kids’ names both start with an ‘L’, so would it bother you that your third kid’s name didn’t? I really don’t think it’s a big deal but some moms seem to care.
I really like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] or [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] if you’re worried about there being too many [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]’s.
I’m not a fan of the combo [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f]. I don’t think it flows well. [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] sounds nice.
I think [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is the best choice. The -a ending doesn’t seem too matchy to me because [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] have such different sounds in the middle. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is such a pretty name, and the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is a nickname, so you have two of your choices in one! All of your names are beautiful, good luck finding the right one!
