Having a Hard Time with an Accidental Rhyme

Hello! My 3 year old son is named [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] (middle name [name_u]Page[/name_u]) and I have twin girls on the way…

For the girls we were thinking of [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and [name_f]Azure[/name_f] but have some questions.

Are [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] too similar in their sound? Also, are you leaving one child out if two out of three have names starting with an “a”?

Other name ideas for the girls include: [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]Lake[/name_u], [name_u]Scout[/name_u], [name_m]Joplin[/name_m], and Marling (same potential problems as [name_m]Harlan[/name_m]).

Are the names too similar? Should I avoid the two A names? Should I just start over with the girl names? Which names go best together?

Give me some insight!

First off I love [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], what a great name!

Something feels off about [name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and [name_f]Azure[/name_f], just to read it I would think they were a boy and a girl.

I think [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_f]Azure[/name_f] work nicely together but they may be too similar for you.

[name_u]Lake[/name_u] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u] also make a nice pairing

[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u] or [name_u]Lake[/name_u] and [name_f]Azure[/name_f] if you don’t want them to be too matchy.
(I don’t like [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Azure[/name_f] because it feels like one is more feminine than the other and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_u]Lake[/name_u] sounds like you’re describing a place)

[name_m]Harlan[/name_m] and Marling feel off with [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] so I wouldn’t use them.

[name_m]Joplin[/name_m] is an interesting choice but I don’t think it pairs well with anything else on your list.
