Ok, I may actually be in labor as I type (hopefully I still have a few days but I am having contractions) and I am still working on names. We have a few very different names on our list
[name]August[/name]- do not like augie. [name]Don[/name]'t know if this is a hard name to say. I really go back and forth on this name.
[name]Judah[/name]- We are not at all religious, does this name read to biblical? I like the nn [name]Jude[/name] as well.
[name]Cale[/name]/[name]Cael[/name]- I know about the veg. but I don’t really see that being an issue.
[name]Edison[/name]- great-grandads name was [name]Eddie[/name], maybe this as a mn?
Any opinions on these? Especially your take on [name]Judah[/name]? That is a new addition to the list.

Here is my take on the names. I love them all! But…
[name]August[/name]-It really is sweet. I don’t care for [name]Augie[/name] either, but how about [name]Gus[/name]? He would probably grow up answering the question “Were you born in [name]August[/name]?”
[name]Judah[/name]- I wouldn’t automatically think you were religious to use the name. I think it is very masculine.
[name]Cale[/name]- I love this name. I prefer this spelling. Depending on your last name it may be short, almost like it’s missing something.
[name]Edison[/name]- I think this name is so cute! It has a timeless feel. Plus, I am a huge fan of using family names. [name]Eddie[/name] is such a cute nn!
If I had to chose one name I would probably say [name]Edison[/name]. But if you like [name]Judah[/name] go for it!
[name]Judah[/name] [name]Edison[/name] is a great name!
I think [name]August[/name] [name]Edison[/name] is perfection, and I find [name]August[/name] easy to say and would not automatically nn him [name]Augie[/name] (which I personally find feels a little awkward and unnatural to say).

[name]August[/name]- [name]Love[/name] [name]August[/name]. I dont think [name]Augie[/name] would be a common nn that he would get called. [name]August[/name] isnt hard to say either. [name]Cale[/name] is much harder to say imo.

I love [name]August[/name] and we are considering that or [name]Augustus[/name]. I too dislike the nn [name]Augie[/name]/Auggie, but don’t think people will automatically shorten it. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Gus[/name]? Jury is still out for me on that nn…
[name]Judah[/name] is also nice and I don’t immediately think of it as biblical. [name]Don[/name]'t like it as much as [name]August[/name] though.
[name]Cale[/name]/[name]Cael[/name] - not in love with this one. [name]Cale[/name] is ok, [name]Cael[/name] I would be worried about people pronouncing it kie-[name]EL[/name].
[name]Edison[/name] - very cute if you want to use a family name. I think it goes well with all your other choices.
Contractions have subsided so it looks like I have at least a few days. Maybe I should mention my other kids names, all boys. [name]Talon[/name], Kimballan, [name]Kaden[/name] and Kanoa.
[name]August[/name]- I am fine with [name]Gus[/name] on this one and I am glad to see people do not think [name]Augie[/name] is such a risk.
[name]Judah[/name]- I would go with [name]Jude[/name] but the DH doesn’t care for it as a full name.
