Having the hardest time with boys names!

We have had an inkling since before pregnancy that we would have a boy, now that it is confirmed… The pressur is on to find a name we can both agree on.

The only thing we know for sure is we want his middle name to be [name]Lee[/name] after my dad, and although I like short one syllable names, they usually don’t work with such a short middle name (ie I really wanted our son to be [name]Nash[/name]… But [name]Nash[/name] [name]Lee[/name] sounds like “nashley”).

Anyways long story short here are some names I’ve been kicking around. And thoughts or other ideas. Ps our last name is Rathbun. So his name will be ______ [name]Lee[/name] Rathbun

[name]Nolan[/name]
[name]Huck[/name]
[name]Dixon[/name]
[name]Foster[/name]
[name]West[/name]
[name]Weston[/name]
[name]Holden[/name]
[name]Sullivan[/name]
[name]Rory[/name]
[name]Walker[/name]

I think the one syllable names will have the same effect as [name]Nash[/name], did… [name]West[/name] [name]Lee[/name] = [name]Wesley[/name]. [name]Huck[/name] [name]Lee[/name] = Huckley. Etc.

I think [name]Nolan[/name] works well with [name]Lee[/name] and your last name, personally, though [name]Holden[/name] does as well. Those are my favorites of your group of names.

Congratulations!

I love all the names on your list.

I love [name]Huck[/name] - though I prefer this as a nn, and I think it works for any H name (we sometimes call my [name]Henry[/name] “[name]Huck[/name]” or “[name]Huckleberry[/name]”)

I also think [name]Huxley[/name] is cool, and maybe you could use that to also honor [name]Lee[/name] - nicknames Hux, [name]Huck[/name] or [name]Lee[/name] are great.

You could do [name]Nash[/name] [name]Huxley[/name]! (or [name]Huxley[/name] [name]Nash[/name])

I also really like [name]Foster[/name], [name]Sullivan[/name], [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Walker[/name] from your list, but think [name]Walker[/name] [name]Lee[/name] as a combo sounds the best of these options.

I was also thinking that maybe there is another way to get to [name]Nash[/name] as a nickname, like using [name]Ignatius[/name] and calling him [name]Nash[/name].

[name]Nolan[/name] is currently my husbands running favorite, and I definitely like it… [name]Just[/name] don’t know if it is the one. Thanks for the input! I like some of the different combos!

I know of a little boy named [name]Holden[/name] [name]Leo[/name] so I do not see why [name]Holden[/name] [name]Lee[/name] wouldn’t work. That is my favorite from your list. The others to me have this western country vibe going on when I hear them with [name]Lee[/name]. I definitely think you need a longer name or two syllables vs. one syllable like [name]Huck[/name]. So that said my vote is definitely for [name]Holden[/name] [name]Lee[/name]. Have you tossed around any more names with your husband?

Yeah he is a little more mainstream with names and I prefer to be a little more unique. I agree two syllable names are a must. He is warming up to [name]Holden[/name], I think.

I’m convinced there is some perfect name out there I haven’t thought of yet lol. Which doesn’t help with our indecisiveness.

Personally, I am not sure that [name]Nash[/name] [name]Lee[/name] is so bad. [name]How[/name] often do you really say the middle name? If it really bugs you, I like:

[name]Rory[/name] [name]Lee[/name](my favorite on your list)
[name]Holden[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
[name]Walker[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
