[name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name]. Her older brothers are [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Travis[/name]. I thought it sounded pretty, stuck with the tr names, and she will be number three. ive gotten picked apart for this name on other name boards. what are your thoughts/opinions on this name?
Too matchy for me, but im a bit obsessive about all kids names having first and last letters different…
I love the name [name]Trinity[/name] tho
I agree with bettydogooder…
Im not a matching first inital kind of gal… BUT [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Travis[/name] are at least different other than the TR…
But to me [name]Trinity[/name] and [name]Tristan[/name] are tooooo close!!! ( although I dont mind the name [name]Trinity[/name])
Maybe you could find another T or TR name that doesnt have as many similar sounds?
I agree with the previous posters-- I like the name but not the matchiness.
I agree with the others. I love the name [name]Trinity[/name] itself, but it sounds too similar to [name]Tristan[/name] in my opinion. [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Travis[/name] sound really well together because the third letter is dissimilar. For example, if you went with [name]Treasa[/name] [name]Jade[/name], it wouldn’t sound so similar because that third letter isn’t an i or and a. But I do love the name [name]Trinity[/name].
I agree with the comments already made as well. There is nothing wrong with the name, I just can’t get behind the sib set.
Well, I personally love it and I love the matchiness…My sister and my names don’t start with the same letters, but they all rhyme which I always thought was cool.
I love [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] as combo - it sounds like she will be a badass.
And I respectfully disagree with all above. Sibling names don’t have to be these perfectly crafted sets, and everyone has a different way to do it, so more power to you, and like I said, I think it is awesome
I’m horribly biased because i have an uncle who had 5 kids and gave them all Tr-names and i haaaated it. [name]Just[/name] saying their names together sounds obnoxious, and it always felt like they were naming a combo, rather than their kids as individuals if that makes sense.
I’m not really into the name [name]Trinity[/name], either. I realize many people like it, for the sound or the religious connotation or something, but I’ve never really liked it. And with [name]Tristan[/name] it sounds too similar.
I can’t even really get behind [name]Jade[/name] because it’s sort of a “bad girl” name where i live
I think, as pp’s said, [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] on its own isn’t terrible (tho it’s def NMS). But my question is: you said you’re “stuck” with TR names - why is that? [name]Just[/name] because of your other children? I understand the thought process behind that but I don’t agree with it really - those were 2 boys, you’re now having a girl. I’m very, very not into matchy-matchy sib-sets so I think it would be awesome if you stopped worrying about the TR thing and just found a name you genuinely love with all your heart and go with that!
Regardless of anyone’s opinion, there are no real “name rules” and imho, you should always go with your gut and heart. You could even just stick with T if you don’t want it to be too different… but sticking with TR really seems like over-kill to me. But good luck to you!!!
Sorry I don’t love it either. I take issue with the fact that it’s two word names. [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Terelle[/name] [name]Jade[/name] sound better to my ears. But if it’s a name combo you love just go for it!
I’m not keen on either name, but I do agree [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Trinity[/name] are too close.
Same with all of them.
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Jade[/name] is adorable. [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Tristan[/name], & [name]Travis[/name]?
I’m going to disagree with most posters and say I really don’t like [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] at all! Also, I’m not a fan of the Tr- sibset. Sorry to be such a downer! It’s just really not my style.
[name]Hi[/name] and welcome to nameberry.
Your daughter will have two lovely brothers named [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Tristan[/name] and therefore you were looking to keep the Tr theme for your daughter. I think that with your sons you have chosen fairly traditional names and they work well together. If you choose [name]Trinity[/name] I think that the tryndiness of the name spoils the trio a little.
I feel that [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] would make a lovely fit eg [name]Travis[/name], [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t you feel that it has a lovely feel to it?
If you were to say keep a T theme then there are some great names for you to select eg
[name]Tessa[/name] I think she is instantly likeable
[name]Tamara[/name] is a gentle name, fully of feminity and sweetness
[name]Talia[/name] or [name]Tahlia[/name] is an especially good modern choice, it is unusual but recognised and is a lovely feminine name which I prefer to see after having two brothers.
[name]Tamsin[/name] (the feminine form of [name]Thomas[/name]) is unusual and semi unisex, as is [name]Tegan[/name] but neither of these would be my choice.
[name]Thea[/name] is a lovely choise too and very classic
I am sorry to hear that you have been getting some grief on nameboards but hear on nameberry we always try to give you good advice. I hope that you can understand where I am coming from and please let me know if you like [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Jade[/name].
rollo
[name]Hi[/name], I don’t mind [name]Trinity[/name] but agree that [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Trinity[/name] are too close. What are their nns? Might make a difference.
[name]Tristan[/name], [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Tracey[/name]? (or [name]Tracie[/name])
What about using the T but not the TR?
[name]Tristan[/name], [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Tara[/name] ([name]Tarah[/name])
[name]Tristan[/name], [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Taren[/name] ([name]Taran[/name])
[name]Tristan[/name], [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Terentia[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name], [name]Travis[/name] and [name]Teresa[/name] ([name]Tess[/name] for nn)
I actually don’t mind some matching with siblings. I don’t love [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] because it is two word names. Maybe [name]Trinity[/name] with another middle? Or another T name as suggested by rollo.
I have no problem with three tr-names, matching sibling names doesn’t bother me at all. I’m not crazy about [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jade[/name] though, what if you have another child after [name]Trinity[/name]? And it also feels almost fanatic to me, but that’s my taste. Two word names are a bit much, maybe [name]Trinity[/name] [name]Jane[/name]?
I disagree with many of the others as I think it is fine to go,with Tr beginning for a sibset. [name]Just[/name] be careful with that if you plan more more children.
I do like [name]Tristan[/name]. [name]Tristan[/name] comes across as preppy to me. [name]Travis[/name] seems like a very different style than [name]Tristan[/name] as it comes across as very country and Southern. [name]Trinity[/name] fits more with [name]Travis[/name] though I tend to think of [name]Trinity[/name] as urban, religious, recent immigrant.
I think if you are going to use [name]Trinity[/name], it works better with a more traditional, feminine middle name like [name]Jane[/name] rather than [name]Jade[/name].
Other Tr names that might work, [name]Trish[/name], [name]Tricia[/name], [name]Tracy[/name], [name]Trudy[/name], [name]Truly[/name].
You could also go with T names: [name]Tessa[/name] is beautiful.
Of course [name]Ottilie[/name] brings up a good point, are there any other Tr- names you like (just in case?)
[name]How[/name] about Triona, [name]Tremaine[/name], or Traviata (hehe)?
I think [name]Trinity[/name] is a nice name, but it may be too close to [name]Tristan[/name].
[name]How[/name] about [name]Tess[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] or even [name]Tressa[/name]?
[name]Tressa[/name] means “third” in Cornish.
