Hay-lee or kay-lee

I don’t want to influence you so I won’t spell them out.

If you had to pick between hay-lee and kay-lee which one and why?

Which spelling?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] the different spellings give you different vibes or images? Which ones?

I prefer hay-lee. I like the [name_u]Haley[/name_u] and [name_u]Halley[/name_u] (slightly confusing but looks good to me) spellings best.

I do like kay-lee spelled [name_f]Ceilidh[/name_f] as a GP :dancer:

Hay-lee is my favourite sound-wise. I think [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] is my favourite spelling, it’s intuitive and I like the balanced look of the y’s. [name_u]Haley[/name_u] is nice too and has a more androgenous vibe.

@katinka [name_f]Ceilidh[/name_f] is so fun! I can’t believe I never thought of that before.

While I think kay-lee is cute in sound, I think hay-lee sounds more like a name that will grow into an adult. I really think they [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] spelling is the prettiest, although [name_f]Haylie[/name_f] is a guilty pleasure spelling. Oddly if you go the other way, I prefer [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]. Don’t know why I like the different endings in different ways.

I really like hay-lee! I think [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] is my favorite spelling, but I might be tempted to go with [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] just for simplicity’s sake since it’s by far the most popular.

Hay-Lee is absolutely my fave! I like the [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] spelling best, though I do also think [name_f]Hailee[/name_f] is fun.

[name_f]Cailey[/name_f] is my favorite Kay-Lee!

Kay-Lee is cute and I honestly do like most of the spellings of this name. [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_f]Kailey[/name_f], [name_f]Kalie[/name_f], etc.

I would say I prefer hay-Lee though. I find it a little bit more versatile than kay-lee in the fact that the latter is a little bit more dated to a specific time period. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite spelling of this name is [name_f]Hayley[/name_f], I also have wonderful associations with a [name_u]Haley[/name_u] so like that one too. Again I’m fine with most spellings of this name (I find [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] to be a little childish for some reason tho?? But that’s just me).

I like the slightly more gentle sound of Hay-lee

[name_f]Hailey[/name_f] I think would be my chosen spelling. It has a sort of soft, yet confident feel, a bit sparkly, various shades of pink

I guess I’m in the minority preferring [name_f]Kaylie[/name_f] in it’s various spellings. [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] is pretty, but feels more insubstantial to me. I’ve always liked lilting [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f].
