[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! This is my first post here. I have a daughter named [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and we are TTC #2 right now. I’m really hoping for another little girl. I’ve recently fallen in love with the name [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and my husband shocked me by saying he loved it too. I love that it’s old-fashioned and different but not too weird (same reasons I loved the name [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]) and I was starting to think I had found the name for a future baby girl. Then all of a sudden it occurred to me…do [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] sound too much like [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]?!? This might be dumb to even think about it but since it crossed my mind I’m now wondering if others will make that connection and think I did it on purpose. So what do you think…are [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] a cute sister set, or too fairytale-ish? And if you don’t like the sound of that set, do you have any other suggestions for a little sibling for my [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]? Aside from [name_f]Greta[/name_f] I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [family name] [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u] & [name_m]Otis[/name_m]) Thank you in advance!! 
I do think of [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]. A few months ago there was a poster considering [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] for twin daughters, and I remember not caring for it very much.
But, you know, the more I think about it, the cuter it is. I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] as sisters. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is really cute, too!
For the boys, I really like [name_m]Otis[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. [name_m]Miles[/name_m] is nice, but I think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] would be even better.
Thank you so much for your input! That’s so funny someone else was considering a [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] set too!! [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are tied for my favorite girl names. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is definitely the safer choice but I just adore [name_f]Greta[/name_f] right now.
I really like [name_m]Milo[/name_m] too! I think I’m going to add that to my list! I have a much harder time with boy names.
I didn’t even think of it at all until you mentioned it. I think its cute! They are both similar styles and are great together. I say its totally fine, neither is [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] or [name_f]Gretel[/name_f], and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is quite different than [name_m]Hansel[/name_m]. Wouldn’t worry about it 
Oh and from your list I just like [name_m]Miles[/name_m] & [name_m]Milo[/name_m] !
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] is beautiful (as is [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]), but I totally thought of [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] the instant I read the title of your post! If the association bothers you, I agree that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a lovely alternative. Second place for me would be [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - also lovely! Good luck!
I actually love them together! I did think of [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] before you mentioned it, but maybe that’s why they sound so good together; it’s familiar and loveable. in no way do I think it’s a deal breaker.
When I read the title of this forum, I immediately thought of [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]. I wouldn’t use [name_f]Greta[/name_f] with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] if the association bothers you.
I like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] heaps better with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I think all of your boy names go with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] well.
I thought [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f] as soon as I read the title too. I really like both names separately but together it doesn’t work for me.
