We are due in [name]March[/name] but I’m hoping to narrow down the list soon so we gave some time to think through and live with our top pick. We aren’t finding out the gender and already have our boy name, [name]Maxx[/name] [name]August[/name] which is a family name from grandfathers [name]Maximo[/name] and [name]Augustine[/name]. For a girl, I’d like something that feel fresh and will age well. Fr a middle name, I’d like to use [name]Adele[/name] after my grandmother. My grandmother is almost 97 and as much as I’d lie to use [name]Adele[/name] as a first name, I think it would be really difficult for my family to call our little grl [name]Adele[/name] when my grandmother passes away. We would love your thoughts and suggestions about:
[name]Hazel[/name] Clemintine B
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B
[name]Eliza[/name] Maron B
[name]Hazel[/name] Clemintine B - This combo just doesn’t work for me. Not sure why, but I think it’s too old fashioned for me.
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - Alliteration? I can deal with it. My only issue is for me, [name]Avery[/name] is more of a boy’s name.
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - I’ve always preferred [name]Louise[/name] over [name]Eloise[/name]. I like [name]Louise[/name] [name]Adele[/name], very cute.
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - My favorite of the bunch. Spunky and sweet, but also a tad bit classic.
[name]Eliza[/name] Maron B - I actually really like [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Adele[/name] much, much more than [name]Eliza[/name] Maron. I think it sounds much sweeter and is an overall stronger name.
My top favorite is [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name]- an all-around winner!
[name]EDIT[/name]: I second pp’s suggestion of [name]Persephone[/name] [name]Adele[/name]! What a sweet-sounding name!
My favorites from your list are [name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name], and [name]Eliza[/name] Maron. If you wanted to use a form of [name]Adele[/name] for a fn, you could use [name]Adeline[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Adelina[/name], or [name]Adeliza[/name] instead. I think [name]Adeliza[/name] Maron is a great name!
I like the thought behind using [name]Adele[/name], and would knock [name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] off your list immediately simply because you seem to feel you can’t use [name]Adele[/name] as a middle with these names.
I like [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name]. [name]Avery[/name] is OK, but I just don’t think it has the same style as [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] do. Either would be great.
I also like the suggestion of using a name that’s not [name]Adele[/name] but is similar. [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] would be a nice choice.
[name]Hazel[/name] Clemintine - would prefer [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adele[/name], even though it rhymes a little. I think it adds to the flow.
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - too matchy in a way. They both start with A and end with e sounds
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - very French
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] B - not a fan. But not a fan of [name]Juniper[/name] either
[name]Eliza[/name] Maron B - Eh.
My favorites would be [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adele[/name]. [name]Both[/name] I think feel young, but can be worn by an adult without discomfort.
I don’t usually pick [name]Juniper[/name] out of a lineup, but in this case I like [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] the best! I agree that [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] (I prefer the traditional spelling) is lovely, but a bit too old-timey. I don’t love the rhythm of [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name], and I wish [name]Eliza[/name] fit better with your grandmother’s last name because I think it’s great to honor her! I actually don’t mind [name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name] soundwise, but I think [name]Avery[/name] is the odd one out as a unisex name and if you are interested in keeping a sort of cohesive sibset, then I’d stick with one of the more feminine, vintage options. [name]Juniper[/name] has the spunky freshness of [name]Avery[/name], but a slightly more antique sound. [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] rolls off the tongue, and I [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]June[/name] ([name]Junie[/name] is cute, too, but [name]June[/name] is fab).
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] is my favorite and [name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name] is my least favorite. Usually I am a huge fan of alliteration but this combo feels of to me.
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] is definitely my favorite from your list! [name]Juniper[/name] has really been growing on me. It’s one of those underused nature names that really is so spunky and unique. Paired with [name]Adele[/name], it’s a beautiful namesake to your grandmother, it flows amazingly well, and [name]Adele[/name] balances out the spunkiness of [name]Juniper[/name] with its girly charm.
[name]Hazel[/name] Clemintine: I much prefer [name]Clementine[/name] spelt this way. I do love [name]Hazel[/name], but with [name]Clementine[/name] the nature theme is a little too much. I think [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adele[/name] or [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] would be much better, and it would honor your grandmother!
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Adele[/name]: I’ve never been a fan of [name]Avery[/name]. I’ve met lots of little girls and even some boys with the name, and I just don’t see the appeal. However, the alliteration does work and it’s still a pretty name, just not my style.
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name]: A little heavy on the “L” sounds. It’s a nice combo, and I love the vintage charm of [name]Eloise[/name], but I think this combo is just okay. I’ve seen it before and it’s a little boring to me. Not my favorite on your list.
[name]Eliza[/name] Maron: Same as [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name], the combo is just okay. [name]Eliza[/name] is cute and spunky, and Maron isn’t in my style, but it works and has good flow. I just think you have better, more exciting options.
In my opinion, definitely [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name]!
My favorite is [name]Juniper[/name]. [name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] are next. Not a fan of [name]Avery[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name]. (I grew up with a boy named [name]Avery[/name], so it is still a boy name to me.)
I have two clear favorites in [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are gorgeous and I cannot figure out which I love more!
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] is my favorite, because I love love love [name]Juniper[/name]/[name]Junie[/name]/[name]June[/name]! But [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Adele[/name] has a lovely melody to it, so that is my second choice. I love [name]Adele[/name], I love that you’re naming her after your grandmother, and I think you have amazing taste!
I guess I’m the odd man out. I can’t see [name]Juniper[/name] on a 45 year old woman. I can definitely see its appeal for a little girl, but even in my 30’s I can’t see introducing myself as [name]Juniper[/name]. [name]Hazel[/name] is the one I like best from your list, it has been steadily growing on me. I even like how it sounds with [name]Adele[/name] as well as [name]Clementine[/name].
My favourite is [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Clementine[/name], but I think [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adele[/name] works too. I know that the end sounds are the same, but in this case I think that it works.
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] Maron are my favorites. [name]How[/name] are you saying Maron? Like [name]Maren[/name]? I slightly prefer [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Maren[/name], personally.
I’m with Team [name]Juniper[/name] on this one. Normally [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], or hazel would be more my style, but [name]Juniper[/name] [name]Adele[/name] really pops on your list. And it’s such a high-energy name. I love that choice for you!
