Hey berries! We are looking for an awesome, strong, memorable and underused (but not bizarre or made up) boy name that has a cool and wearable nickname.
Names that my husband likes as examples:
[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] (nickname Leo) - I love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but am not crazy about Leonidas… feels too much and too similar to ailments like tendonitis)
[name_m]Maverick[/name_m] (Mav) - it’s a contender for sure though obviously getting more popular since top gun 2
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m] (we both like this but don’t like Mag/Mags)
Just fwiw my favorite nn for Magnus is Max! With Mcgee in a close 2nd.

I know a young boy named [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and I don’t think anyone has ever mentioned it sounding like tendonitis. I think it’s a strong, ancient Roman-sounding name and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is a great nickname to make it more wearable!
Maybe you could do [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Gus[/name_m]? I definitely think that could work; the sounds are right there!
Have you considered [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] nn [name_m]Seb[/name_m] or [name_m]Baz[/name_m]?
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] nn Xander/Xan/Zan
[name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m] nn Nick/Nico
[name_m]Demetrius[/name_m] nn Dem/Demi
Maximilian/Maximus nn [name_m]Max[/name_m]
Callixtus nn Cal/Calix
Maybe you will like Marshall nn Marsh. That’s my son’s name it’s a strong vintage name that is not common but still well known and easy to spell. I rarely see it on any name list or video. The nn Marsh is a trendy nature name that feels more modern than the full name Marshall. Also it means horse caretaker - gives cowboy vibes.
