Okay, as a lot of you know, and the rest can tell by my signature, we were strongly leaning towards [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] for our baby girl due in july. However, even though it is a beautiful combo and I love both these names, with such a classic like [name]Elizabeth[/name] I am wondering if I could do something a little more fun in the middle. I was talking to my mom yesterday, and she mentioned the name [name]Atia[/name]. (pronounced At-ee-a, not Uh-tee-a). [name]Atia[/name] was from ancient rome, and is the mother of the emperor [name]Augustus[/name]. I know in the series [name]Rome[/name] she was portrayed in a bad light, although I have never seen the show myself. However everything I have read says this is incorrect, She was a beautiful and strong woman. She was an amazing mother, the people loved her, and she always did what she had to do to take care of her family. My mom is really into [name]Roman[/name] culture, so she is a big fan. Not to mention, according to Ancestry.com we are very distant relatives. [name]Love[/name] it. Plus I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] has an awesome flow, and it is not a name you hear often, so I feel it adds something to [name]Elizabeth[/name], while keeping the historical connection I liked about [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. And surprisingly, hubby loves it! I also like the idea that when she asks about her name, I will have a cool story to tell her. What do you guys think? I am really digging this name berries.
I like it I think that with [name]Atia[/name] as the middle name, [name]Elizabeth[/name] sounds more modern . It feels really fresh to me, not something that you hear all the time , but still classical and pretty. I would go with [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] over [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] myself.
Ooh! I don’t know anything about the [name]Roman[/name] [name]Atia[/name], but yes, I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] was great and all, but [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name]… that’s something else. I think you should go for it!
I agree [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] has a lot of going for it and I like the meaning for your family too.
USE IT! please! atia sounds so beautiful with [name]Elizabeth[/name]. It seems to refresh [name]Elizabeth[/name]. And [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] are names i’ve heard often, but [name]Atia[/name] i’d never heard of before.
Thanks everyone! I am glad to hear everyone loves it as much as I do!
[name]Both[/name] are really pretty, but I’d go with [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name]!
I love them both but pretty please go with [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name]! It’s gorgeous and I love the connection you have with it.
I agree with everything you said. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is a fine name, but [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] is way more special, way more interesting. Go for it!
I like it! [name]Atia[/name] is unique and a
Has persinal meaning to you. Also, it’s just plain fun! Congrats and good luck!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] is a gorgeous name! Go for it!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] adds something fresh, new, and more exciting to [name]Elizabeth[/name], and while [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is nice, both are rather heavy names, and they are both English queen names. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] is spunky and still connected to history, and therefore my favorite.
I think it is great! A classic needs a little umph to make it special!
I vote for [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] also
.
wow it seems to be unanimous
Hey! [name]Kinda[/name] wanted to bump this and see if I can get some more opinions on it. Thank you all for your feedback! I agree that [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is beautiful, but they are both heavy names. I love the freshness and spunk [name]Atia[/name] adds, it makes me love the name [name]Elizabeth[/name] even more. I am close to making the big commitment of writing the name in her baby book lol, it is a big step. You berries have been amazing through this whole process, I seriously doubt I would have found a name I love so much without the help of you guys and this website.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Atia[/name] is a magnificent combo! Kudos to grandma for that one. It’ll have a great story for her when she asks why you named her that also. All-around winner!
I actually quite love both combos. If you’re yearning for something a little more unique, I think this is a perfect solution!
