Hebrew Names (Jewberries?)

[name_u]Shalom[/name_u]! Never posted in this catagory before, but this isn’t really [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Name Game material.
Pretty self explanitory.
What are your favorite Hebrew/Jewish/Israeli names? (mine are [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayelet[/name_f])
[name_m]How[/name_m] does family influence you?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you plan on giving your kids seperate Hebrew names? (my hebrew name is [name_f]Tova[/name_f], seperate from my forst name)
For example, no matter how many names I expore (even as a teenager), I know that when I have kids they will be named after deceased family members. But never any alive family members. (I know I’ll have a [name_f]Julia[/name_f] or a [name_m]David[/name_m] or a [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]- but [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is my own middle name! [name_m]Oy[/name_m] vey…)

Nobody is posting to this, so I will. I’m not Jewish, but my husband ([name_m]David[/name_m]'s) adoptive family is. I like a lot of Hebrew names, and many of them have become mainstream. I love [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Aaron[/name_m], [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Tziporah[/name_f], lots of them. [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is on my list for a girl. It has been so interesting to me to learn about the culture, and especially that Jewish people don’t name after living family members. Although we don’t plan on raising our children Jewish or giving them Hebrew names in the traditional sense, undoubtedly we will be joining in on Passover and Hanukah celebrations every now and again.
