Help! 2 weeks to decide

I am due with a baby boy in two weeks and we are getting desperate!
We have a daughter, [name]Madeline[/name], and our last name is one syllable beginning with B.
The best we can agree on is [name]Oliver[/name]. Downside, I can’t get my head around [name]Ollie[/name].
First question, do [name]Madeline[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] work? She is a [name]Maddie[/name]. Secondly, an alternative nickname I thought could be his initials - “[name]Obie[/name]” (OB) but my husband thinks this is not an organic nn.
Third, any other suggestions for a brother for [name]Madeline[/name]?
Thanks!!!

I like [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Madeline[/name] a lot but he’s going to be [name]Ollie[/name] best you can do is just keep repeating back [name]Oliver[/name] and maybe people will get it. What about [name]Henry[/name] or [name]Simon[/name]?

I think [name]Maddie[/name] and [name]Ollie[/name] sound awesome as a sibset!!!
What about…
[name]Oscar[/name] (i dont think this has a nn)

What about [name]Madden[/name]? Or a name starting with a M? [name]Oliver[/name] is cute. What’s going to be his middle name? You can always call him O and whatever is middle initial will be. What were some of the other names you guys liked? I’ll see what I can come up with, so I’ll probably be back. Lol!

Good luck!

I love the name [name]Oliver[/name]- have been debating whether Ollo could be a nn.

I think it works very well for a sibling.

Those names go together very well, [name]IMO[/name], and I like both of them. I also don’t think an [name]Oliver[/name] is necessarily going to be an [name]Ollie[/name]; I have two good friends named [name]Oliver[/name] and both have always just been [name]Oliver[/name]. Occasionally people call them [name]Ollie[/name] and they just say “no, it’s [name]Oliver[/name]”, and then everything is fine.

I have an [name]Oliver[/name]. We like the nn [name]Ollie[/name] and people close to us use it because we do. However, no one from his class (parents, teachers, other classmates etc) or extra curricular activities call him by his nickname. I’ve noticed that if he is introduced as [name]Oliver[/name] people call him [name]Oliver[/name]. I’ve never heard anyone call him [name]Ollie[/name] outside of close friends and family (and that’s only bc we encourage it). He always has introduced himself as [name]Oliver[/name] and it sticks. I don’t think you need to worry about it. I think [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Madeline[/name] sound perfect together. I say go for it! Good luck
