Ok I need some help - long time follower, first time poster. I’m nearly full term with no clear direction on names
I’m looking for a sister name for [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].
I am really drawn to [name_u]French[/name_u] girl names as well as pretty, feminine names that aren’t super popular but are familiar. We have a difficult last name so I’d prefer a one syllable middle name but will concede to two if needed.
[name_m]Can[/name_m] anyone provide thoughts or opinions on the following as well using them as a guide for other suggestions:
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f], Avelie (Av-ah-lee) or [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
Middle names: not [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]May[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Neve[/name_f] but worried it clashes.
Please help! I would love thoughts and suggestions. Thanks for looking
Congratulations! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite of your suggestions is [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], although it’s probably also the most popular/well known of the three. It is lovely though.
Some other suggestions:
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Leonie[/name_f]
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f]
[name_u]Celeste[/name_u] / [name_u]Celestine[/name_u]
Hélöise
[name_f]Noémie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]
Adélie
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] - light, pretty and sweet but with sass and spark too
Avelie - intriguing and charming
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] - it’s okay. More trendy than [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f] and Avelie [name_f]Neve[/name_f] could work. If you like [name_f]Neve[/name_f], maybe [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f] might work?
With [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], and based on Amelie/Avelie/Everly…
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f] is lovely! I do really like Avelie as well though, really pretty. Maybe Avelie [name_u]Blythe[/name_u], Avelie [name_u]Wren[/name_u] or Avelie [name_f]Faye[/name_f]?
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] are such a chic, complementary pair! Avelie is nice too but I slightly prefer [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] with [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. I find that [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is simultaneously too matchy in sound with [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] but quite mismatched in style (Estelle is chic and mature while [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is cutesy and trendy).
Some more first name suggestions…
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] &
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites from your list are [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (classic but still modern) and Avelie (unusual but not in a ‘what a weird name’ way).
some other suggestions that might give you some more direction on your naming process
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_u]Camille[/name_u]
[name_u]Celeste[/name_u]
[name_f]Nadine[/name_f]
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is a gorgeous name. [name_u]Light[/name_u] and feminine, but also sophisticated and chic!
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] would be beautiful sisters! [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f] is fun and unexpected, the names balance each other very well.
You have gotten so many great suggestions already, and my favorites are your pick [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and the suggestions of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Noémie[/name_f]. I think those are the best fits, stylistically and popularity-wise, with [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. I do find [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f] to be a little clashy, just because they come from different cultural traditions, although you could definitely get away with it. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are:
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Noémie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
I’m not 100% certain how to pronounce Avelie, is the first syllable a short A like in “avenue” or a long A like in “Avery”? I think it might be a challenging name to pair with a difficult last name, due to pronunciation issues.
You already have great suggestions and would like to second [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f], [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_f]Azélie[/name_f] / [name_f]Zelie[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Faustine[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Fleur[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f], [name_f]Lisette[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], [name_f]Annette[/name_f], [name_f]Nadine[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
I love the name [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]. I think it goes best with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] for sure! They’re both pretty, feminine, Frenchy names. Don’t mind Avelie but it’s not as pretty to me. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is cool but more unisex, and earthy. That and I wouldn’t go for an E name unless you want that pattern or adore the name.
With [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], you might otherwise use:
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]Celeste[/name_u]
[name_u]Celestine[/name_u]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (Oar-rell-ee-ah)
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucette[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] (as a first - not sure if that’s off list!?)
[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] (love this name!)
Congrats! [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is sooo sweet. I like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] the most with big sister’s name. There’s been some great suggestions already, but [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] came to mind immediately! And not french, but what do you think of [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]? [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]? [name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]? [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]?
