Help 39 weeks and cold feet...

[name_f]My[/name_f] hubby and I fell in love with [name_m]EMRYS[/name_m] if baby #2 is a boy. But I’m having cold feet!! What do you think of the name?

Other contenders have been:
[name_m]OMRI[/name_m]
[name_m]AMIAS[/name_m]

Other ideas for similar soft, unique, magical sounding boy names?

I prefer [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] over the other two contenders. Is it pronounced em rees or em riss? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you feel it fits in well with older sibling’s name?

Some other suggestions for soft, unique names
Alasdair
Aloysius
Asa
Caius
Cyrus
Perseus

I’d love to see how each name is pronounced! They all sound intriguing.

Am I right
[name_f]Em[/name_f]-[name_u]Rees[/name_u]
Ohm- ree
am-I-ehs

I think all 3 are nice. They aren’t really my style, mostly because they have a lot of really soft names, my favorite nanes like that I think are [name_m]David[/name_m] & [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]. That said I think they’re all solid legitimate names. I would practice saying the name at different volumes. Write it on paper see how it looks and feels. [name_m]Say[/name_m] your older child’s name and your baby’s name together call them to dinner… Wrote the names out together , get a real feel for it being alive and are what one you like the best. Like if you like the way it seems in your life . If its your baby’s name you’ll not see anything about it that bothers you . Like for example the way I pronounce some names drops certain sounds a bit, h names specifically like the h falls off, I love them
But if they have 2 syllables they have to be middle names because they don’t sound exactly right. I love [name_m]Hamish[/name_m] but its got to be a middle name :-/ does that make sense. If you get a good feel from one of them you will know.

Of the three you’ve listed I like [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] the best.

If you’re still undecided you could always try the Starbucks test, my friend did it when she was unsure of her name choice. What you do is go to Starbucks (or some other coffee shop), order something, and give them the name you are unsure about to write on the cup. When your drink is ready listen to how it sounds/feels when the barista call out the name.

Previous posters: [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] is (generally) pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]-riss

I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]! It certainly has that unique, magical feel. I think it’s an amazing name.

It is pronounced [name_f]EM[/name_f]-RISS.

All three are nice names, my favorite is [name_m]Amias[/name_m], then [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], then [name_m]Omri[/name_m]. I don’t want to sway you too much by giving you a long list of suggestions because you already have three really handsome names.

3 other “soft” sounding boys names::
[name_u]Neil[/name_u]
[name_u]Avi[/name_u]
[name_m]Elio[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Amias[/name_m] and [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] for you.

Another idea:

[name_f]Soraya[/name_f] {and} [name_m]Darius[/name_m]

{Persian names}

I like [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]! I also like the one the other user suggested, [name_m]Elio[/name_m]. It is also soft, magical sounding but both are still strong. Great, unique names!

I also like the Starbucks test! Never thought of doing that!
