HELP! alternate versions for RENFRI?

I love he name Renfri from the Witcher… but I do not want the association with the show… are there other similar versions are spelling ideas?

I think the association with the show is gonna be there no matter what especially because it’s not the sound that’s changing

I prefer the Renfrey spelling as it is similar to other oldy names like [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m] and [name_m]Geoffrey[/name_m], making it feel less fantasy and more something from the “real” world.

Edited to add: I just realized this was in the girls’ forum (oops!). In that case I think you could go with just [name_u]Ren[/name_u] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as they are currently trending and have a very cool look.

I think that with such an uncommon character name, it will be associated with the show by fans no matter how you spell it (especially if pronounced the same). That said, I think I like Renfrey best of your options (it looks more complete and tidy to me).

If you really wanted to further it from the show though, perhaps [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] could do that, with the occasional nickname of Renfrey.

Renfry or Renfrey are my faves. I know a family with the surname Renfrew, in case that appeals? It’s also the name of a region of [name_u]Scotland[/name_u].

Renfrey looks more “complete” to me. I like the look of it. Kind of the similar vibe to [name_f]Winfrey[/name_f]

I think Renfrey looks the best of the spellings; but my favorite is [name_u]Florence[/name_u] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u], if that’s an option

I agree that Renfri is probably going to be associated with the Witcher, no matter how you spell it. Perhaps I’m wrong, but as far as I can tell, it was invented by the author of the Witcher books.

If you really don’t want the association then I would suggest changing the pronunciation - something like Renfris might work.

If you want other [name_u]Ren[/name_u] names then perhaps [name_f]Renata[/name_f], [name_f]Serenity[/name_f], [name_f]Reinette[/name_f]?
