[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]’s nickname would be [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_f]Theadora[/name_f]’s nickname would be [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Tia[/name_f]
I personally prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u].
Does a name’s popularity matter to you?
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] has recently become much more familiar to people in the English-speaking world (top 100 or so in many places). [name_f]Theadora[/name_f] is quite unusual everywhere, but the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f] would be familiar (as a stand alone names it’s more popular than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] in the UK, and it’s in the 200s in the USA). There’s [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], too, which could have either [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nickname!
I don’t like that spelling of [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].
i love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] but not [name_f]Theadora[/name_f], that spellling will just be confusing. I’m not a fan o [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] due to its popularity (sure to increase) and the fact that a small child will not be able to pronounce their name well.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] Reminds me of the aurora borealis~
This tough. I love both! And while I prefer the spelling [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], I can’t help but lean in favor of [name_f]Theadora[/name_f], mainly because I know so many little Auroras and I prefer nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f] to [name_u]Rory[/name_u].
I looove [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]! And [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], but not a big fan of the [name_f]Theadora[/name_f] spelling. I think it will lead to confusion. That’s why, I like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] better!
I don’t love the spelling [name_f]Theadora[/name_f], but [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is so so pretty and I prefer it to [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] by far
I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], but spelled with the “o” instead of the “a.”
Another vote for [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] (this spelling). [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] - nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f] (or [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]) - [name_f]Tia[/name_f] seems to far from the name and is more of a surfer name to me.
I strongly prefer the [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] spelling, but I still would chose [name_f]Theadora[/name_f] over [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is just too difficult to say in my opinion.
I’m a bit biased, but [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a beautiful name. I’ve also never met anyone who couldnt pronounce it (also [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] herself has always been able to say it, too!)
We call her [name_f]Rora[/name_f], but I think [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is a really sweet nickname for it!
I think [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is pretty too, I especially like [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. I just prefer [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (and probably would, even if I didnt have a niece with the name!)
Also, both she and I have only met one other [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. So even if the name is getting a bit more popular, theres no guarantee you’ll meet a bunch of them.
I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] more than [name_f]Theadora[/name_f] but I like both better than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], it has become quite common. I also love the suggestion of [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] and would like to add [name_f]Annora[/name_f] called [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] or [name_u]Rory[/name_u]
Like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] a lot more. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] like [name_f]Theadora[/name_f] is too clunky.
I love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u]!
[name_f]Theadora[/name_f]
