We completely locked in [name_f]Raya[/name_f] for our baby girl due in [name_u]June[/name_u] (brothers [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] & [name_m]Brody[/name_m]) and then Disney is releasing a movie called [name_f]Raya[/name_f] and last dragon (and is pronouncing it different than we would be) I’m scared it’ll get as popular as frozen or something and I just feel so uncertain about it.
We’re back to the drawing board. I love [name_f]Raya[/name_f] but was thinking about maybe a variation that we could use [name_f]Raya[/name_f] for short. [name_f]Rayleigh[/name_f]- something like that-other suggestions?? [name_u]Or[/name_u] just new suggestions in general!! Help!
Our other top name is [name_u]Karsen[/name_u] but I am also on the fence about it!
In that case the [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] spelling could be perfect for you! The same pronunciation but so far from the [name_f]Raya[/name_f] spelling that no one will ever associate it with the film. [name_f]Reya [/name_f]is another option?
My first thought is spell it [name_f]Reya [/name_f]instead. Then there’s no pronunciation confusion, it’s not the same as the new Disney character, and it’s still the name you love.
I think [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] are good suggestions! I do think it has the potential to be like Frozen or [name_f]Moana[/name_f], but it is a very pretty name!
