Hi, I posted here not long ago and had some amazing feedback! [name_u]Baby[/name_u] arrived a few days before due date and hubby and I still haven’t agreed on a name.
He likes [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] or [name_f]Myka[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]… Both of which were my original suggestions but I’ve been Met with so many “thats a boys name” comments that I’ve been put off…
I like [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] or [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] but can’t seem to pull the trigger for some reason. Too hillbilly? Too tomboy?
My other daughters names are [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]…
It had been suggested that we use [name_f]Mable[/name_f] as a fn to get to nn billie but not sure the vintage [name_f]Mable[/name_f] works for us.
We also like [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_u]Skye[/name_u], [name_f]Evie[/name_f]…
Ugh. Sleep deprived and frustrated we haven’t solved this yet. Any opinions welcome!!!
Oh, I looove [name_u]Billie[/name_u]! I don’t think it’s hillbilly or tomboy at all. I’ve come across some very girly girls named [name_u]Billie[/name_u] (on Instagram) and it works perfectly on them. You’ll probably get the “it’s a boys name” comments with [name_u]Billie[/name_u] too, but I honestly don’t think it matters. Maybe using the [name_u]Mika[/name_u] spelling with the mee-ka pronunciation could be a solution?
I much prefer [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]! Beautiful combo and sounds great with big sisters. I also like [name_f]Myka[/name_f] but I wonder if that spelling has been tainted by the recent [name_f]Myka[/name_f] Stauffer scandal. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom typically doesn’t like unisex names for girls but [name_u]Micah[/name_u] is always one that she will claim sounds like a girl to her.
I don’t like [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. It definitely reminds me too much of “hillbilly”, and in a way where I don’t find it particularly classy. It just doesn’t match the whimsical and strong vibe of your other girls.
I like [name_f]Myka[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]!!
Winnie is one of my favorites. I like [name_u]Winter[/name_u] with nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] too. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] maybe?
Both lovely options! I don’t think [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is hillbilly at all, but it probably wouldn’t be my preference.
Winnie [name_f]Mable[/name_f] could work well with your other daughter’s names. I like the ee sound as a point of difference from [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] ([name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_u]River[/name_u] is gorgeous by the way). I would potentially spell [name_f]Mable[/name_f] as [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] though, otherwise for some reason it looks like the word fable to me (not necessarily a negative).
I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_u]Micah[/name_u], nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u]
have you tried calling her these options in different intervals? [name_u]Billie[/name_u] for a night, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] for the morning, etc. to see how it feels? I know this isn’t always the magic cure, but eventually one name should stand a little bit out from the others.
[name_f]Winona[/name_f], [name_f]Winslet[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] also come to mind as potentials for [name_u]Billie[/name_u]
I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] would fit your family vibe and get you to [name_f]Evie[/name_f] if you want, although I prefer [name_u]Ever[/name_u] for a nickname or just using the full name.
I like [name_f]Myka[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]! [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] would be adorable! I also think [name_f]Winslet[/name_f] [name_f]Myka[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] or [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Myka[/name_f] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is so cute!
I love the suggestion of
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] (I prefer this name combo)
or maybe
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
They fit so well with your other daughter’s names! I especially love the connection between [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]River[/name_u], and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] and the classic names: [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] together.
Good luck! And let us know what you decide
I think [name_u]Skye[/name_u] sounds lovely as a fn with your crew: [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_f]Lola[/name_f] & [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
Not sure on your middle options though… [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Winslet[/name_f]?
I agree that the [name_u]Mika[/name_u] spelling appears a little more feminine. But I still think that [name_u]Billie[/name_u] works for a girl and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is gorgeous! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Willow[/name_u] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u]? Or any name ending/starting with the bel, bul or bil sound - [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_u]Fable[/name_u], [name_f]Bellerose[/name_f], [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f]? [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites for you are probably [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Rosabelle[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u], [name_f]Bellerose[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. Good luck
I love [name_u]Micah[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]! It is such a gorgeous name. I personally only think of [name_u]Micah[/name_u]/Mica/Myka as a girl name. Since the [name_f]Myka[/name_f] Stauffer scandal I have been turned off that spelling. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] on its own is pretty but [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Eilish[/name_f] is kinda big right now. I LOVE [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] for you. It leads to [name_u]Billie[/name_u] and it flows nicely with [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. [name_u]Skye[/name_u] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] would be nice. It’s one syllable so it’s nice with 2 and 3 syllable names. I love @rosajune suggestion of trying the names on her. See what you find comfy.
You are doing AMAZING!
I’m sorry to comment again, but I LOVE @Ameliaanwen suggestion of [name_u]Willow[/name_u]! It goes perfect with your girl’s names and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is a natural, spunky nickname!
Willow [name_u]Micah[/name_u]/Myka, [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u], [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Evie[/name_f] are all beautiful names!
I like [name_u]Micah[/name_u] better on a girl, so I vote for that, and [name_u]Skye[/name_u] is a beautiful middle! The thing with [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is that [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Eilish[/name_f] is really popular, so if you are okay with getting a lot of “Oh, like [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Eilish[/name_f]” then that’s fine but if not, I think many people will relate that. It will also probably gain some popularity.
This might sound silly but everyone will have a different opinion on here which will only add to the procrastination of picking a name, [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] still gets my vote. Have you thought about putting names in a hat and letting your older girls decide? That way they picked baby’s name from names you liked, which would give her name some special story behind it. Good luck x
