I’m entering our family tree on ancestry.com and came upon a name and can’t find any information on it. I think it’s a girls name, she was born in the late 1800s, the name is “Zidice”. Any ideas?
It looks like it may be similar to the Czech village of Lidice which was obliterated by the Nazis during World War II in reprisal for the murder of a [name]German[/name] officer. Is this any Czech blood in your background?
