I’m having the hardest time coming up with boy/girl twin combos. What are thoughts on [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]/[name_u]Wren[/name_u]? My dh is not too keen on [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. I’d like the names to be somewhat nature inspired. We have one daughter named [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!!
All three of those names are some of my favorites, and I think [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is a great bridge between nature names and more classic, sophisticated names like [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]. Personally, I would stick with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] for the boy, and I think [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s sister could be:
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (means “dawn,” also as in the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] Borealis)
[name_f]Briony[/name_f] (means “to swell” with this spelling, spelled “[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]” is the name of a plant)
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] (means “hill”)
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] (means “beauty,” also as in calla lilies)
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] (means “flower”)
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] (means “ivy plant”)
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] (means “lioness”)
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (means “rose”)
[name_u]Waverly[/name_u] (means “quaking aspen”)
I love the name [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] and I think it needs an equally beautiful, soft, feminine name to go with it. I’m sorry, but I just don’t see [name_u]Wren[/name_u] matching well with it.
Here are my suggestions with possible nicknames in parentheses:
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and…
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilah[/name_f])
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] ([name_f]Ana[/name_f])
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] ([name_f]Nora[/name_f])
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariana[/name_f]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] ([name_f]Ana[/name_f])
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] ([name_f]Thea[/name_f])
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] ([name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Dora[/name_f])
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] ([name_f]Sera[/name_f])
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f] ([name_f]Mari[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f])
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
Thank you so much for taking time and helping me out!! It’s much appreciated
I think [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] go great together but I feel like [name_u]Wren[/name_u] looks a bit out of place and too harsh next to [name_f]Cosette[/name_f].
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and…
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Gracelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lacey[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
Some really great suggestions so far from previous posters. [name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] are all absolutely amazing, but I agree that [name_u]Wren[/name_u] may not be the best here.
Maybe Serenity or Seren? Seren means star, which I think is a nice nature influence. I like both of these names because you could use Wren as an nn within your family.
I just discovered the name [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f], and I think it could fit. To me, it ties into both [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] (the s sound) and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] (the 3 syllables), all without being too matchy. And it has that nature theme.
[name_f]Cosette[/name_f], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f]
I also love the previous suggestion of [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
My final suggestions are [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], Sienna, and Elisabeth. These do not have the nature influence, but I think they flow beautifully.
Good luck!
