I’ve been trying to come up with some Spanish origin names, at least 3 syllables that have that princess feel about them. Popularity doesn’t matter, I’ll take unusual and popular ideas with the exception of [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name] which are too popular.
All I can come up with is [name]Eleonora[/name] which some websites say is Spanish, but nameberry doesn’t, and [name]Rosalia[/name]. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks guys!
[name]Eleonora[/name] is used in Spanish-speaking countries and it’s a lovely name. Then again, I’m biased; that’s what we named one of our daughters.
As for long and “princessy” Spanish names, how about:
[name]Leonor[/name] (daughter of the crown prince of Spain)
[name]Fernanda[/name]
[name]Renata[/name]
Agustina
[name]Florencia[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Catalina[/name]
[name]Georgina[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Amparo[/name]
[name]Constanza[/name]
[name]Valentina[/name]
[name]Valeria[/name]
[name]Eugenia[/name]
[name]Angelica[/name]
[name]Viviana[/name]
[name]Lorenza[/name]
[name]Jimena[/name]/[name]Ximena[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Estefania[/name]
[name]Martina[/name]
Some VERY Spanish names, rarely heard outside Spain:
Almudena
Covadonga
Cayetana
If you create a double-barreled name by taking a name from either list and adding a [name]Maria[/name] at the beginning, for example - [name]Maria[/name] [name]Cecilia[/name], it’s even more Spanish/Latin American fab princess style. Careful though - the combo may go from regal to soap-operalike, depending on the second name.
My immediate thoughts were [name]Valentina[/name], [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Elvira[/name] and [name]Isadora[/name] (although the Spanish spelling is [name]Isidora[/name]). You’ve got some lovely suggestions from the previous posters, too.
For interest, I Googled “mis hijas [name]Valentina[/name] y”, to try and find some similar options - here are some names people have chosen for sisters to [name]Valentina[/name] :
[name]Anastasia[/name]
[name]Arianna[/name]
[name]Esperanza[/name]
[name]Guillermina[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]!
Nayle (I’m not sure how to pronounce this one).
[name]Love[/name] [name]Gabriela[/name], [name]Jovita[/name], [name]Catalina[/name], [name]Jacinta[/name], [name]Magdalena[/name], [name]Leocadia[/name], [name]Marisol[/name], [name]Maritza[/name], [name]Paloma[/name] (though it doesn’t give me that regal feel lol), [name]Perlita[/name] (gorgeous!) and [name]Ramona[/name]
YBP - I adore [name]Eleanora[/name]!! My boyfriend’s not sure but he said it may grow on him. What are your daughters’ names if you don’t mind me asking? Sounds like you have awesome taste! Hehe. I also like [name]Leonor[/name] (I believe her little sister is [name]Sofia[/name] after the [name]Queen[/name]?), [name]Florencia[/name], [name]Georgina[/name], [name]Valentina[/name], [name]Valeria[/name], [name]Eugenia[/name], [name]Angelica[/name] (though I thought this was Italian!), [name]Viviana[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Jimena[/name] (never heard of this one!) and [name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Auburn[/name] - hey how are you? Thanks so much for doing that! Some awesome results I love [name]Anastasia[/name] (though I think it’s Greek), [name]Arianna[/name], [name]Claritza[/name] (this is gorgeous!), [name]Delfina[/name], [name]Lia[/name], [name]Jazmine[/name], [name]Marina[/name], [name]Marta[/name] and [name]Eloisa[/name] (but my partner has a bad association with that name :()
Thanks for your help everyone. Some of them are in use in Spain but not legitimately Spanish and I really wanted to find a “real” Spanish name so to speak! [name]May[/name] have to type them all into behindthename.com
