I like [name_m]Wells[/name_m], [name_m]Ford[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] best. I don’t think Townsend fits with your other kids names, it’s a “bit out there”, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Suggestions:
[name_m]Wellington[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Wells[/name_m])
Hartford ([name_m]Ford[/name_m] for stags)
[name_u]Thames[/name_u] ([name_u]River[/name_u])
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] ([name_u]River[/name_u])
[name_m]Fraser[/name_m] ([name_u]River[/name_u])
[name_m]Chad[/name_m] ([name_u]Lake[/name_u])
[name_m]Trent[/name_m] ([name_u]River[/name_u])
Clyde (River)
These are great! Thank you.
I picked [name_m]Wells[/name_m]. I’m liking the above suggestions ([name_u]Thames[/name_u] is good! [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] too common?).
Not sure if it’s your style, but my current favorite river name is [name_m]Avon[/name_m].
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] is my favourite.
I picked [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] because its cute.
Townsend. Really? Dont even like it as last name and hate it as a first name.
Think of all the bullying.
That’s really harsh and honestly mean.
@kbuttrum Please do not listen to nyco. I think Townsend works well. I would think of nicknames if you want to use it though because it seems like the kind of name that would need one. Maybe [name_u]Owen[/name_u]?
I voted for [name_m]Wells[/name_m] because it’s spunky and sounds great with your other kids names.
Thanks so much!
Yes, Townsend is out there, which is my worry… its a family name, that’s why it’s being considered, but wanted peoples reaction to it, which I guess is what we get. Lol.
Yeah its mean that i say what everyone’s thinking. Totally.
I didn’t think your comment was harsh or mean. Sometimes people just can’t handle others’ opinion about their precious name choices. But let’s be real…NAMES MATTER!!! What you call your kid is with him or her for life, and the decision should never be whimsical or silly, incite bullying, or make the child provide explanations, or corrections to spellings or pronounciations for a lifetime.
If we are to be honest with ourselves and how the names we like could be construed by others, then sometimes feedback will sound harsh or mean. That’s life. Some people are indeed more diplomatic than others in expressing their opinions, but I have come across no one that is is outright malicious. Be thankful there is a forum here where you can give and receive some honest feedback.
I voted for [name_m]Wells[/name_m] but really like someone’s suggestion of [name_u]Thames[/name_u].
