Hello nameberries! I seem to be having trouble finding a name that I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. I have a few names that I like and wouldn’t mind naming our baby girl but am on the search for THE name. I think I like simple, non-trendy, uncommon names. I like both vintage and more modern names (i.e. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] vs [name_f]Mila[/name_f]).
Girl names that I like: [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Heidi[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f]
Can you provide me some inspiration and suggest names based on the style of names that I like? Please HELP!
I really like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and don’t mind [name_f]Heidi[/name_f].

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] (again similar to [name_f]Mila[/name_f] just not as popular)

[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_f]Missy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
I absolutely love the name [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! It is so simple and classic. My husband on the other hand thinks otherwise, he thinks it is a “plain” name…so [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is ruled out unfortunately
I thought about [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but decided that it is very similar to [name_f]Nora[/name_f], which I would prefer. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] are cute names - I think I would prefer [name_f]Emily[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] though since they sound less frilly without the “a” ending. I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] but they are all variations of my mom’s name, [name_f]Lily[/name_f], so I think those would be ruled out.
These are great suggestions! Please keep them coming! Not sure if it will help but a boy name I had in mind is [name_m]Kellen[/name_m].
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] because it sounds simple, elegant, classic and is making a come back so it sounds fresh. Not sure if it is becoming too popular or not though. I feel like this name suits a baby and also an adult.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] because it sounds simple, sweet, and is a classic. It gives me a whimsical and dreamy feeling which is what draws me to it. I feel like this is a pretty common name though which makes me not want to use it.
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f] because it is a name that everyone knows but is uncommon and almost sounds exotic and fresh. My concern with this name though is the pop culture associated with it, i.e. [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] Klum, [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] Montag, and the issue with greetings, i.e. “[name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and Hey [name_f]Heidi[/name_f],” runs together
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] because it is a simple name that seems more modern day (maybe because of [name_f]Mila[/name_f] Kunis) without being too trendy. It sounds cutesy and seems fine for a baby but not sure it would grow.
The more I think about it, I actually really like [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. It sounds like [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and with it being a variation of my mom’s name, [name_f]Lily[/name_f], makes it special… I will be putting this one on the list even though I said I was going to rule it out!
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys prefer [name_f]Mila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f] better?
