Help Can't pick a name

My first daughter is [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], pregnant again with DD #2 due in [name_u]March[/name_u] 2017.
Really don’t like any names except ones I can’t use. HELP!!

So I like the names [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] for a girl. My neighbour named her daughter [name_u]Avery[/name_u] last year when I was pregnant with my daughter [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. So that was crossed off our list. My cousin who i never see is named [name_u]Riley[/name_u] (girl). My husband refuses to use either of these names for this reasons. Any other name I like he really doesn’t

Other names i like

[name_u]Reese[/name_u] (he states its a boy name)

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
(know someone whos my friends friends about to have a baby and is naming it this)

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] (already know a girl who has baby with this name friends friend)

[name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]
- People say this is made up name (dont like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (line saying)

[name_f]Mila[/name_f]
[name_u]Love[/name_u] this name but afraid will be pronounced wrong

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]-
[name_u]Love[/name_u] this name especially with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] but its too boring i think

[name_f]Callie[/name_f]- Not in love with this

[name_f]Ava[/name_f]- too popular and its so short looking.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- People have said they dont like this name and its a co-workers name at my work.
Any advice?

Thanks

[name_u]Lindsey[/name_u]

[name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] seem more trendy than the classic [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-- what about [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] or [name_u]Arden[/name_u] instead? I like [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Callie[/name_f], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] best from your list.

Some other possibilities:

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u]?)
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Dora[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f]/[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Leonie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Liza[/name_f]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]/[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

If you like [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] (and don’t like the -line pronunciation of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]), what about [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]? The spelling feels more modern like [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u] but the name is classic enough to match [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

If you like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Mila[/name_f], what about [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] or even [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]?

Personally, I love the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and for a short name, I don’t think it’s boring at all! It walks a fine line between spunky and sophisticated. But if you’re not convinced, you could always go for a longer form — [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Kalyn[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is the best though I would spell it [name_f]Norah[/name_f] I think

What about [name_u]Everly[/name_u]? Like a mix of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u]?

Other names you might like:
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_f]Reeva[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Evelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Avia[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelia[/name_f]

Good luck!

I love:

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f]

To pair with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] I suggest [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]

Thanks Ladies those are lots of good suggestions. I love the name [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] too! I like the suggestion of [name_u]Rory[/name_u] but my best friend loves [name_m]Gilmour[/name_m] girls and told me if she ever had a girl it be Lorlei or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] so I cant use that name either. I like the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] idea but my husband said no to that a while back.

I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] pronounced [name_f]Leela[/name_f]. But i work with one so i feel like id be stealing her name.

I also like the name [name_f]Carly[/name_f] forgot to mention that.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Hallie[/name_f], [name_f]Lilou[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]

I think everyone can Pronounce [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and is so sweet with [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is easy to pronounce and is not at all uncommon. I even know an [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]!

Other names to consider is [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Sara[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I really think that a classic and feminine (not unisex) name goes best with the beautifully named [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

[name_u]Reese[/name_u] - sounds like a boy’s name next to [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I think it’s nice but maybe something sweeter would work better.
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - really sweet but if you’re concerned about popularity it could be better as a middle name.
[name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]- this doesn’t seem as sophisticated as [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Mila[/name_f] - an elegant name but better as a middle, it doesn’t have as much weight as [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] - this is the best name! No, it’s not too boring and sounds fantastic with [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] - just seems like a nickname for something
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] - yes, it’s too popular especially considering how popular [name_f]Emma[/name_f] also is. Choosing this would seem like you’re just following trends and not putting any thought into naming your girls.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] - this is better as a shortform for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Elinor[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f].

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] (feels more substantial than [name_f]Ava[/name_f], it’s more of a grounded and classic name)

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Callie[/name_f] if you want, and you can pronounce this the same way as [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f], they are both commonly pronounced the same)

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] ([name_f]Cait[/name_f] or [name_f]Cate[/name_f] is a nice variation of [name_f]Kate[/name_f]). I think [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] would beautiful sister names.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (you can call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f])
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (popular but it’s a similar style as [name_f]Emma[/name_f])
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]

I think that [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is still usable because the person who is naming their daughter [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] you aren’t close with. It also goes great [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
Instead of [name_f]Lily[/name_f] how about [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Liah[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilliana[/name_f].
[name_m]How[/name_m] about instead of [name_f]Nora[/name_f] you name her [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] and use [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as a nickname.
Names with nickname [name_f]Kate[/name_f]: [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Katerina[/name_f].
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and…
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f]
[name_u]Sierra[/name_u]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f]
[name_f]Faye[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Carly[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Sana[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]

I really like
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_u]Macey[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]

From your list, my favourite is probably [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].

If you like [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] but are still unsure, how about [name_u]Addison[/name_u]? Personally, I don’t think [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] sounds or looks made up, and like you, I also dislike the ‘line’ sound a lot of names end with.

My name is [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (although I’ve always been [name_f]Katie[/name_f] my whole life, but that’s another story) and I am so surprised at the amount of people who assume that [name_f]Kate[/name_f] must be short for a more formal name such as [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f]. I have had a number of people not believe me when I tell them it’s just [name_f]Kate[/name_f].I don’t know if that bothers you, and honestly it doesn’t bother me, I just find it somewhat amusing that people assume it can’t be a name on its own. To me, that indicates it must be time for [name_f]Kate[/name_f] to make a comeback.

I like the name, and in my lifetime (I am 34) I have only ever met one other person with [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as a full name, so if popularity bothers you, this is probably a good choice. I do however know bucket loads of girls named [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f]/Kailtin

I think we are going to go with [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and middle name will be [name_u]Avery[/name_u].

I really like the sound of [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

Thanks everyone for all your help I would have never decided without help. You helped me see [name_f]Kate[/name_f] was usuable lol!
