Rosalie-This is so sweet. It feels very playful & gentle, but also smart & well put together. It’s classic & simple & grows up well.
Rosie-Adorable, but better as a nn in my opinion. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] feels like you’d get two favorites in one!
Roxanna-It’s different, but I’m not sure that I love it. I just picture a ditsy maybe slightly…promiscuous…80s girl w/big hair. Sorry if that’s too harsh! I can totally see the appeal if you don’t have that weird image that I do.
Vada-Well, I love that it reminds me of [name_f]My[/name_f] Girl, but it also reminds me of Darth Vader. I feel like it will be misspelled & mispronounced too. I kind of like [name_u]Vida[/name_u] more. [name_u]Or[/name_u] even [name_f]Veda[/name_f], although that may get ‘Vee-duh’ instead of ‘Vay-duh’.
Scarlett-This is fine, but I find it a little over dramatic & way over done. And I think that [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] looks nicer like the color.
Penelope-I like this! It’s spunky & a little quirky, but smart & classy at the same time. Tons of great nn options too. I love [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] the most, but also [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] & [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].
Dorothy-This is very sweet. Elegant & old fashioned. Simple & well known but feels pretty refreshing on a kid these days.
Rosalie- so pretty! love this one
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]- I prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but could totally stand alone
[name_f]Roxanna[/name_f]- my favourite from your list! so sparky and fun! and nn [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] is adorable
[name_f]Vada[/name_f]- so cute! sleek and feminine, i like it.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]- super nice! familiar but not too common.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]- super fun! funky, but still familiar and cute!
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]- adorable!!
My favourites are Scarlett, Roxanna, and Vada. You have a lovely list to choose from. I’m not a fan of nicknames and would rather choose a name I love and use it exclusively but Roxanna, nn Roxy is great, Vada is mostly nickname proof, and I like Scarlett as is, definitely not Scar.
I think the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is so beautiful and has wonderful imagery! [name_u]Red[/name_u] is the perfect pet name since [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] is a shade of red and roses are usually red! They complement eachother so perfectly and you can’t go wrong with it! I also love [name_f]Vada[/name_f] but I couldn’t help but notice it sounds like…Darth Vader. Definitely will get some “Darth [name_f]Vada[/name_f]” jokes. I truly think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is an elegant, strong name for your daughter! Sending my love
If you decide to go with a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name I would recommend having a formal version and calling her [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as a nickname. I know someone who is named [name_f]Ros[/name_f]@line (pronounced leen not line) and she goes by [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. But she likes that she can go back to her full name for professionalism and it really suits her.
I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but I think my second and third choices would be [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and then [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. Although I also love [name_f]Vada[/name_f]. You really can’t go wrong! Congratulations by the way.
