Now that we’ve got our choices for our first baby (mostly) settled, I’m already thinking ahead to future babies. We want four children, ideally two boys and two girls. If we get our wish, their names would almost certainly be [name]William[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], and [name]Elizabeth[/name]. For three boys and one girl: [name]William[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name]. And if all four are boys, the last one would probably be either [name]Sebastian[/name] or [name]Dominic[/name]. There are so many classic girls’ names we love, though, I’m not sure what we would pick if we ended up with three or four daughters!
Some of our current favorites:
[name]Anastasia[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]
[name]Maria[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] (Maybe not traditional enough, though?)
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] (Not quite sure if it goes either…)
[name]Madeleine[/name] (Sounds too similar to [name]Catherine[/name]?)
[name]Christina[/name]
[name]Samantha[/name]
[name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]/[name]Hannah[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Rachel[/name]
[name]Eve[/name] (Maybe [name]Evangeline[/name] so it doesn’t seem so short next to the others.)
If my own name wasn’t [name]Margaret[/name], I would use it in a heartbeat for a third daughter. I really love [name]Charlotte[/name], but it rhymes a bit with [name]Margaret[/name]. [name]Theresa[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] are also out because we already have nieces named [name]Teresa[/name] and [name]Elena[/name]. ([name]Abigail[/name], too.)
So, which names would you pick to complete a classic, traditional sibset consisting of either [name]William[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], and [name]Elizabeth[/name] or just [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name]? Any other thoughts on the listed names, or any other suggestions? Thanks!
