[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - Not sure about the middle name here.
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - We haven’t agreed on anything for the middle here. Seriously in need of ideas
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name]
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name]
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name]
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name]
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness)
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name])
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - Is [name]Nell[/name] enough as a first name, particularly when my other children have more formal first names
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name])
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name])
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - Not sure about a middle name to go alongside [name]Una[/name]. She is new to our list.
[name]Hope[/name] some of you have two cents (or even three) to contribute!
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I don’t care for [name]Cormac[/name], although I’ve never been sure why. And I prefer the spelling [name]Phinneas[/name].
[name]Pascal[/name] - I like it, and I’d probably pair it with something French, maybe [name]Armand[/name] or [name]Olivier[/name]
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - Its all right, not my style but I don’t mind it
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I do like the simplicity of [name]Sage[/name], although to seems to stand out as an odd duck compared with your other names
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Rupert[/name], although to me [name]Leo[/name] is just an nn, so I’d prefer a full middle instead
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] - beautiful
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) - I don’t like [name]Agnes[/name], but the combination is pretty
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) - [name]LOVE[/name] this, Bloom is a marvelous, fresh middle name
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - I tend to agree with you, I like [name]Nell[/name], but it feels a bit incomplete to me. I do like [name]Nella[/name] though
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) - Very pretty, although I prefer [name]Cornelia[/name] to [name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) - I like this, especially [name]Bettina[/name]
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - I prefer the [name]Oona[/name] spelling, but I don’t care for the [name]Imogen[/name] pairing (although I like both names). I’ve never really come up with any [name]Una[/name]/[name]Oona[/name] middle names that stick though
None of your boys names are my style. As for your girls names, I could see cornelia (but like cordelia better) and [name]Romilly[/name] is quite nice, but I think of [name]Romany[/name] (as in gypsy)
I absolutely love [name]Rupert[/name], but agree with pp that [name]Leo[/name] is more of a nn and I’d prefer a fuller middle. What about [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leonardo[/name]? Or [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Phineas[/name]?
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] gets my vote, love both names so much. GL!
My choices would be [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] (since you’re using [name]Leo[/name] as a middle name, I don’t feel like it needs a longer version) and I love both [name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] & [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (esp. with the nickname Ness! :))
wow, you have a very [name]Harry[/name] Potterish style (which is great by the way!)
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I like this a lot! I love the name [name]Phineas[/name] and [name]Cormac[/name] is nice enough.
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - I love [name]Pascal[/name]! [name]Pascal[/name] [name]Sage[/name]? [name]Pascal[/name] [name]Leo[/name]?
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - I would prefer [name]Leo[/name] [name]Percival[/name], but it’s nice as is also
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I like both names but not so much together. [name]Sage[/name] [name]Pascal[/name]? [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Phineas[/name]
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - it’s okay, I’m not super fond of [name]Rupert[/name]
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] - [name]Love[/name], very pretty. I love [name]Flora[/name] and [name]Constance[/name] is a nice solid addition
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) - I adore [name]Beatrix[/name], I’m not too fond of [name]Agnes[/name] though I like Ness
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) - pretty, good option to [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - I think it is, though [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) - I actually kinda like this, especially Bloom
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) - I like [name]Ruby[/name] a lot, not so much [name]Bettina[/name]–reminds me of patina
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - I’m not fond of [name]Una[/name]. [name]Imogen[/name] is pretty though.
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] – Like.
[name]Pascal[/name] – Not my style.
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] – Like. Would like a lot better if you were planning on using a nn like [name]Perry[/name] or [name]Percy[/name].
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] – [name]Feel[/name] like [name]Sage[/name] is a girl name.
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] – I don’t think this name would work in the U.S., maybe if you are in the U.K.
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] – [name]Favorite[/name]!
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) – [name]Agnes[/name] a bit of a harsh name, but I really l like it.
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) – Nice.
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - Prefer if [name]Nell[/name] had a full name.
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) – NMS
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) – NMS
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - A little vowely for my taste
I like the name [name]Leo[/name] as a first and [name]Pascal[/name] for the mn imo. I love [name]Cormac[/name] but the mn doesn’t flow well when i say it out loud, maybe [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Pascal[/name]?
The girls, nms but out of the list i do like [name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom, and i love the nn [name]Nell[/name].
I like your style (even though it might not sound like it in the rest of the post)!
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - Kind of cool, I like [name]Phineas[/name] but not sure that [name]Cormac[/name] is my style. The sound of them together is good for me.
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - Would [name]Sage[/name] or [name]Rupert[/name] work here? I like both of them – [name]Pascal[/name] [name]Sage[/name] or [name]Pascal[/name] [name]Rupert[/name]
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - I wouldn’t name my kid this, but I do like it. [name]Percival[/name] just sounds a little wimpy to me. If my kid had a friend with this name, I’d like it, lol.
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I read [name]Sage[/name] in the first name slot as a “[name]Sage[/name]” like an older wise person. So he would be the sage named [name]Phineas[/name]…
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it. My favorite. I could see myself using this (not that I would steal it, though!)
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] - [name]Just[/name] okay. I’m neutral on this.
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) - Not a fan of [name]Agnes[/name], but I do like [name]Beatrix[/name]. Not really a fan of the combo, although that might be the influence of [name]Agnes[/name].
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) - Hmmmm. This might grow on me, but right now, no.
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - I don’t really think [name]Nell[/name] is enough.
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) - Hate to have to tell people how to spell [name]Romilly[/name] all the time.
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) - Kind of cool. Sounds like a punk rocker’s name. Maybe just very slightly trashy.
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - Uno! Not a fan of [name]Una[/name].
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - Not sure about the middle name here. - I love [name]Phineas[/name]! I think it makes a great middle. I also like [name]Cormac[/name] and nn [name]Mac[/name].
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - We haven’t agreed on anything for the middle here. Seriously in need of ideas- [name]Pascal[/name] is very interesting! I’m surprised it doesn’t get more consideration on nameberry. I think Pas (pronounced “pass” or “pahs,” like paz) is a great nickname, and alternate forms [name]Pascoe[/name] and [name]Pace[/name] are nice too.
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name]- Not a [name]Percival[/name] fan. It sounds overly formal and a bit much for a kid.
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name]- I’ve met quite a number of female Sages. I think it’s regional thing, because until nameberry I didn’t even know [name]Sage[/name] was used as a male name. I have difficulty picturing it on a boy, and it seems a totally different style than all the other names on the list.
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name]- Never been a [name]Rupert[/name] fan. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just not my taste. And very British, if you’re American.
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name]- Nice.
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness)- [name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] together. Very similar sounds and ending. I do like Ness, though, and [name]Agnes[/name] is nice. I also really love [name]Agatha[/name].
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name])- I prefer [name]Cordelia[/name] or [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Coraline[/name], but I do like the nn [name]Nell[/name]. I think [name]Nell[/name] definitely needs a fuller first name. Not a huge fan of Bloom, unless it’s a family name.
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - Is [name]Nell[/name] enough as a first name, particularly when my other children have more formal first names- definitely a longer first name, but I love [name]Isadora[/name] as a first or a middle.
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name])- [name]Love[/name] [name]Romilly[/name]!
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name])- [name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Betty[/name] at all. It’s still dated to me. And I think of Ugly [name]Betty[/name], which sort of describes the name to me. I also don’t really like [name]Ruby[/name]. It’s a bit cutesy for my taste, and I’m not a fan of gem/precious metal names like [name]Crystal[/name], [name]Amber[/name], [name]Diamond[/name] or [name]Ruby[/name]. I know [name]Ruby[/name] has a longer history and isn’t as dated or “downmarket,” but I still lump it in with the others. It is a good combo in terms of rhythm and sound, though.
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - Not sure about a middle name to go alongside [name]Una[/name]. She is new to our list.- [name]Don[/name]'t like the combo, but I like the names individually.
Am really on the hunt for offbeat ideas though. I think I’ve been looking too hard, for too long.
Slightly panicking that the right name just isn’t out there.
It took me up until [name]Martha[/name] was a month old to pick her name- really don’t want that to happen again. I found the whole experience really embarrassing. Probably I’m a little more neurotic still this time, in light of that experience!
Thanks for the advice so far, your honesty is appreciated
[name]Cormac[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - I would always pair an unusual name with a more common one, just in case. Try [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Evan[/name] or [name]Cormac[/name] [name]Aiden[/name]. [name]Cormac[/name] has some wonderful literary connotations!
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - I don’t like this
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - [name]Percy[/name] screams [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] for me.
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - [name]Sage[/name] has a feminine feel.
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - I like this a lot!
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] - Beautiful!
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) - Like the [name]Loch[/name] Ness monster?
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) - I love love love love love this.
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - I don’t think [name]Nell[/name] is enough, especially if your other children have formal firsts. [name]Eleanor[/name] is another option for the nn [name]Nell[/name].
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) - Cute, but [name]Romy[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name]'s High School Reunion?
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) - If you like the nn [name]Betty[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] is more standard.
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - I like this. [name]Unique[/name], but usable.
[name]Pascal[/name] - [name]Pascal[/name] [name]Roman[/name]? I love the name [name]Pascal[/name]! [name]Do[/name] you like the bolder, related [name]Pascoe[/name]?
[name]Percival[/name] - I don’t love [name]Percival[/name], but while [name]Leo[/name]'s a great name, it kind of runs into [name]Percival[/name]. [name]Percival[/name] [name]Cormac[/name]? I think the tough manly [name]Cormac[/name] is a nice balance to the softer [name]Percival[/name]. [name]Percival[/name] [name]Roscoe[/name] occurred to me too.
[name]Rupert[/name] - Also not a huge fan, but [name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] is a great combo! Are we on opposite sides of the pond : D? I think [name]Rupert[/name] plays better in the UK than the US.
(and now) [name]Winston[/name] - Really like [name]Winston[/name]! Something masculine but longer in the middle, maybe [name]Winston[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Winston[/name] [name]Christopher[/name].
[name]Agnes[/name] - I have a soft spot for [name]Agnes[/name], and I think [name]Martha[/name] and [name]Agnes[/name] are well matched as sisters! [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Bettina[/name], weirdly, came to mind, before I even saw [name]Bettina[/name] below (maybe I processed it subconsciously).
[name]Cornelia[/name] - not my favorite but it’s OK and I like it with [name]Martha[/name]. [name]Cornelia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]? Something simpler I think.
[name]Romilly[/name] - not a huge fan and it seems odd with [name]Martha[/name], but fine in the end. [name]Romilly[/name] [name]June[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Rosemary[/name]?
[name]Bettina[/name] - love [name]Bettina[/name]! [name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] came to mind.
(and now) [name]Anouk[/name] - I like this, but more as an [name]Ann[/name]/[name]Anne[/name]/[name]Anna[/name] nn. [name]Anouk[/name] [name]Frances[/name]?
[name]Pascal[/name] ? - [name]River[/name] might sound cool as a middle name, or [name]Leo[/name]
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - Is the world ready for a [name]Percy[/name] revival?
[name]Sage[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] - okay, [name]Sage[/name] is swinging more towards the girl side these days, which I think is not fair because it’s more boyish for sure but you have to be aware
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Leo[/name] - Best one
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Constance[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Flora[/name], [name]Constance[/name] is okay
[name]Agnes[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] (Ness) - [name]Love[/name] both names, but I think they need softer accompaniments
[name]Cornelia[/name] Bloom ([name]Nell[/name]) - [name]Love[/name] this a lot!
[name]Nell[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] - No [name]Nell[/name] is not enough of a first name, stick with [name]Cornelia[/name]
[name]Romilly[/name] Bloom ([name]Romy[/name]) - like okay, [name]Romilly[/name] sounds a little boyish to me for some reason
[name]Bettina[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] ([name]Betty[/name]) - cute
[name]Una[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - [name]Love[/name] both names, not together
[name]Hope[/name] some of you have two cents (or even three) to contribute!
Just thought I’d say that I think Nell is a beautiful first name. I was meant to be called “just” Nell.
I like it much better than Cornelia or Eleanor.
From your lists, I also love Rupert, Winston (nn Win) Romilly, Anouk (oh, I LOVE this) and Flora. Best of luck!
*EDIT: Just saw you have a daughter named Martha. That’s such a beautiful name, I think Martha and Anouk would be gorgeous together.
