Help! Do any of these fit better?

Right now we have [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Bristol[/name] but we are just not sure anymore. I am going to be 35 weeks on [name]Wednesday[/name] so we need names now! So my question is do any these fit better with are other names, specifically [name]Paisley[/name] and [name]Cheyenne[/name]? Are the western/cowgirl?

[name]Cassidy[/name] - I am not sure about this.
[name]Emmalyn[/name] - DH decided tonight that he really wants a daughter with this name, I like it as well though! We are also considering the spelling Emylyn, but we have never been picky about spellings.
[name]Georgia[/name] - We live in Oklahoma, is this weird?
[name]Jolene[/name] - Too attached to the [name]Dolly[/name] [name]Parton[/name] song?
[name]Johanna[/name]/[name]Joanna[/name] - This is my favorite but I am not sure it works?
[name]Lila[/name] - I like it but I am afraid it is too short and I am not open to [name]Delilah[/name] whatsoever!

We like these next 5 but we are not sure they are even remotely western?
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name]

Thank you berries for putting up with me

I really really like [name]Emmalyn[/name]! It really is a beautiful name. As far as the next five [name]Sienna[/name] really does sound western to me, and I think even [name]Annabelle[/name] could be western as well but I prefer [name]Sienna[/name] as opposed to [name]Annabelle[/name] with your other children’s names.

I love [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Bristol[/name], but I love a lot of these names too. Since you had to let go of [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Colt[/name] I would give DH [name]Emmalyn[/name]/Emylyn (both spellings are lovely but for you I prefer [name]Emmalyn[/name]). What about [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Johanna[/name]/[name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Joanna[/name] to combine both of your favorites? I think all of these names could be construed as western. I really like them all and I am sure you are just overthining it. You have 4 children with beautiful names, don’t worry I am sure these 2 will get names just as beautiful

I think [name]Charlotte[/name],[name]Clara[/name] & [name]Annabelle[/name] are western I that’s what you’re looking for. And [name]Charlotte[/name] is classically beautiful.
I think [name]Cassidy[/name] is more fOr boys.
I like [name]Delaney[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Georganna[/name], those middle names give them a western feel. But I don’t think [name]Delaney[/name] or [name]Bristol[/name] match your other names.
I love [name]Lila[/name] [name]Emmalyn[/name]/[name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Lila[/name] & [name]JoAnna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]/[name]Annabelle[/name] [name]CharlOtte[/name]

I’m sorry you’re having such doubts. :frowning:

I love [name]Delaney[/name] and think it’s definitely a great option for you–are you doubting both names or just [name]Delaney[/name]?

I think [name]Cassidy[/name], [name]Jolene[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Emmalyn[/name], [name]Johanna[/name], [name]Sienna[/name], and [name]Annabelle[/name] could definitely be sweet cowgirl names! [name]Annabelle[/name] is my favorite, and I think the nn [name]Annie[/name] is very cowgirlish! I think [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] or [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Sienna[/name] would be nice. [name]Cassidy[/name] strikes me as uber cowgirl, haha, but if you’re unsure about it maybe it’s best to set it aside. I think I like [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Clara[/name]/[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] [name]Emmalyn[/name]/[name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Delaney[/name] the best.

Good luck!

[name]Cassidy[/name] -Not bad, but I just like it okay.
[name]Emmalyn[/name] - This is kind of cute, but I definitely wouldn’t do the two “y” spelling.
[name]Georgia[/name] - I don’t really think of [name]Georgia[/name] as a place name, tbh. It’s just so gorgeous, and it stands as a classic.
[name]Jolene[/name] - I actually like this name, and I grew up listening to [name]Dolly[/name]. I also think of the [name]Ray[/name] LaMontagne song of the same name (different song, though–very pretty). Either way, it’s a pretty name, and I wouldn’t worry about the ties to a song. My name is [name]Angela[/name] (nn [name]Angie[/name]), and I love having the Rolling Stones song out there with my name.
[name]Johanna[/name]/[name]Joanna[/name] - Yeah, it works. Why not? It’s lovely.
[name]Lila[/name] - Cute, but it’s poised to become really popular.

We like these next 5 but we are not sure they are even remotely western?
[name]Sienna[/name] - To me, this name doesn’t feel substantial enough.
[name]Tabitha[/name] - Pretty? Yes. Western? No.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - It feels stately and classic but not western.
[name]Clara[/name] - This could work as a western name.
[name]Annabelle[/name] - CUTE! And it could work.

We are doubting both names, we are actually doubting [name]Bristol[/name] more than [name]Delaney[/name]. @dillonsfan01- I really think that it would nice to give him [name]Emmalyn[/name] since he lost [name]Colt[/name] as well. Right now I am think [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] [name]Joanna[/name] but I am not sure. What does everyone think of these too?

I like [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name] [name]Joanna[/name]! [name]Just[/name] a suggestion too, if you use [name]Garrett[/name] for your DH you could use [name]Stacy[/name] for you. I think [name]Abraham[/name]/[name]Abram[/name] [name]Garrett[/name] and [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Stacy[/name] would be an adorable way to use both of your names!

[name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] is lovely!

I love [name]Emmalyn[/name] and it feels very cowgirl chic to me though personally I would spell it [name]Emmeline[/name]. I really like it with [name]Delaney[/name], [name]Annabelle[/name] ([name]Emme[/name] & [name]Annie[/name] is so cute and Western feeling!), [name]Clara[/name], [name]Joanna[/name] and [name]Cassidy[/name], especially with the nn [name]Cassie[/name].

My fave pairs would be:

[name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Joanna[/name]
[name]Cassidy[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Cassidy[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Joanna[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Sienna[/name] and [name]Delaney[/name]

My fave combos would be [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Delaney[/name]

Best of luck!

I think you have a lot of really great options. Personally I love [name]Emmalyn[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] together. [name]Georgia[/name] doesn’t feel like a “place name” to me. [name]Just[/name] a gorgeous name with a cool southern vibe. [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name] could be a really adorable pairing. Nicknames like [name]Emmie[/name] and [name]Gigi[/name] could be adorable!
But I also think [name]Clara[/name], [name]Jolene[/name], and [name]Lila[/name] are beautiful names that could work for you. I like [name]Bristol[/name] with your sib set, but I feel like [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Paisley[/name] are really similar in sound. The same with [name]Sienna[/name] and [name]Cheyenne[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a little too much alike.

Aww  I had so many doubts when naming my daughter, as well. It’s a serious decision so It only comes natural that parents would be extra cautious when choosing a name for their children! I really love [name]Emmalyn[/name]! It seems to be a modern twist on a traditional name, “[name]Emily[/name]”…which is certainly a common name. [name]Emmalyn[/name] sounds more elegant and less common. It brings to mind another Western name with resounding connotations of a famous writer, “[name]Jessamyn[/name] [name]West[/name]”. The name [name]Jessamyn[/name] with the “y” spelling (as opposed to [name]Jessamine[/name]) is actually French in origin -but has a gorgeous meaning: jasmine flower. The alternative spelling, “[name]Jessamine[/name]” is an earlier spelling for the word, ‘jasmine’ and is also a name with a Western flavor to it because of the famous writer [name]Jessamyn[/name] [name]West[/name] (born in [name]India[/name], lived in [name]California[/name], was also a quaker.) [name]Charlotte[/name] means, “free man” or “free” and is English… I don’t know if it’s Western but it’s certainly elegant and beautiful. [name]Sienna[/name] is actually an Italian name that is a place in [name]Italy[/name]; it’s also a reddish brown color (maybe cute for a kid with reddish brown hair?) [name]Sienna[/name] is not typically considered a Western name -but it’s still a pretty name. [name]Sierra[/name], however -is very similar to [name]Sienna[/name] and is certainly a Western inspired name, due to the [name]Sierra[/name] Mountains. It is actually of Spanish origin (it is the name of a place and also means, ‘mountain’ which could be inspired as alluding to “strength” “honor” “firmness” and “stability”). It would serve as a strong Western name, I do think. [name]Clara[/name] is just to cute! You could name her ‘[name]Clarisa[/name]’ and call her [name]Clara[/name] …or just give her a strong middle name to go with “[name]Clara[/name]”. The French form of [name]Clara[/name] means, “pure” or “clear”… and [name]Clarisa[/name] means, “Clear” or “bright”. The Latin variant of the name [name]Clara[/name] means, “illustrious” so it has some great meanings and connotations -"[name]Clara[/name] [name]Barton[/name]" --full name, “[name]Clarisa[/name] Harlowe [name]Barton[/name]”… who helped found the [name]Red[/name] [name]Cross[/name] and was an American pioneer"… [name]Clara[/name]‘s a strong and beautiful name. [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Paisley[/name] would strike me as very Western sounding names for their strong annotations; [name]Paisley[/name], of course for it’s cliche’ use as a pattern throughout the Western United States; as it is seen on handkerchiefs and as a design for many western inspired clothing items. [name]Annabelle[/name] (and I do hope I do not offend you) has a strong cliche’ appeal for it’s use as a name for livestock; many a cow has the name [name]Annabelle[/name] been assigned to. [name]Johanna[/name] is actually Hebrew/[name]German[/name] decent and means, “God is gracious” -I, personally, love the meaning:) It is, however, a prominently known name as one of the Duggar’s children from the show, “19 kids and Counting”. However -that does not necessarily mean that you shouldn’t use the name! It does have a pretty meaning. [name]Lila[/name] is a pretty name (reminds me of [name]Lilac[/name]). It has the same syllabic length as [name]Clara[/name] -both names would require a very complimenting middle name with the syllables depending on your last name, i.e., “[name]Clara[/name]-[name]Mae[/name]” ([name]Mae[/name] is making a tremendous come back as a middle name I am noticing but also holds a very Southern appeal), “[name]Lila[/name] [name]Grace[/name]” “[name]Lila[/name]-[name]Kate[/name]” “[name]Clara[/name]-[name]Jade[/name]”… Two syllable middle name: “[name]Lila[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]” “[name]Clara[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]” Three, “[name]Lila[/name] [name]Annalise[/name]” “[name]Clara[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name]”. [name]Cassidy[/name] could certainly be construed as a “Western” inclined name. Allude to “[name]Butch[/name] [name]Cassidy[/name]” -a historical Western figure. [name]Cassidy[/name] is a beautiful name and can be shortened to “[name]Cassie[/name]” for a sweet nick name. [name]Jolene[/name] truly does bring to mind a scantily clad, large breasted red-lipped, blonde wigged country singer and all that implies. I’m sorry! Sweet Miss Dolly just sorta ruined that name for me…hehe! [name]Georgia[/name] is pretty. I know there are many famlies who name their children “[name]Georgia[/name]” either because they’re from GA, have family ties to Ga, or because they are feminizing the name after a loved one named, “[name]George[/name]”. If any of those apply then I’d say [name]Georgia[/name] would be just fine! Even if you just really love the name -something important to remember is that you really need to trust your instincts. Try not to over-analyze or get overwhelmed. Your heart will tell you what your baby’s name is meant to be… certainly as soon as you hold him or her in your arms -the name will come to your mind with absolution. I had my daughter three and a half years ago… and at the time my husband and I could not agree on a name!! (not to mention I kept changing my mind. I was so wishy washy!) We agreed on “[name]Kyler[/name]”…and that was about it. I was so very worried about naming my daughter “[name]Kyler[/name]” because everyone we spoke with agreed it sounded prominently male; It is of Irish origin, derived from [name]Kyle[/name]. My husband is Irish… but we don’t know a soul named [name]Kyle[/name]. But we loved the name… and the singer “[name]Kyler[/name] [name]England[/name].” Finally, after pouring over name after name …and realizing that we were not going to mutually choose this name unless one of us compromised -I really prayed about what to name to baby. I had a dream a month before giving birth… and in that dream I kept calling my baby by a name… I told my husband about the name, “[name]Gabrielle[/name]”… it is a Hebrew name, variant of “[name]Gabriel[/name]” (the arch angel) and it means, “devoted to God”. After I gave birth to her and held her in my arms -I KNEW she was my little “[name]Gabbie[/name]”. We named our sweet daughter, '[name]Kyler[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] M." I know that I made the right decision …though others may find her name strange, we have the utmost confidence that her name is literally “who she is”. So be sure to go with your heart when naming your baby -[name]Even[/name] if you do find the world disagreeing with your choice; because you are naming this baby for her own benefit -not for the world’s. [name]Just[/name] remember to keep calm and trust your heart  Blessings to you, whatever you chose!! --[name]Brandi[/name] [name]McCanna[/name]

[name]Gianna[/name], [name]Ginelle[/name], [name]Joan[/name], [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Jeanette[/name] all have the same meaning as “[name]Johanna[/name]”, “God is gracious” or “God’s grace”… cute sib set idea! [name]Emmalyn[/name]/[name]Jessamyn[/name]… [name]Peyton[/name]/[name]Charlotte[/name] to smoothly echo sisters’ names, ‘[name]Paisley[/name]/[name]Cheyenne[/name]’. Cute! [name]Cassidy[/name]/[name]Clara[/name]… you could go with, "[name]Cassidy[/name]/[name]Clarisa[/name] and call them, “[name]Cassie[/name] & [name]Clara[/name]”… that would be a cute sib set  Or [name]Tabitha[/name]/[name]Sienna[/name] (or [name]Sierra[/name] which has more of a Western connotation than [name]Sienna[/name]). [name]Both[/name] end with an “a” sound but aren’t to similar either. ([name]Sophia[/name] sounds cute with [name]Sienna[/name]/[name]Sierra[/name] as well -it means ‘wisdom’.)

Thanks everyone! @dillonsfan01 - That would be a very cute idea to use our names as MNs

@kgm2008 - Wow that was a lot of help!

Aww I am so glad you liked it

From your list I think [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] would be great with [name]Paisley[/name] and [name]Cheyenne[/name].

[name]Clara[/name] [name]Emmalyn[/name] or [name]Clara[/name] [name]Johanna[/name]. [name]Clara[/name] definitely has a pioneer spirit.

If I remember correctly from your previous posts your last name is [name]Kane[/name]? I think [name]Delaney[/name] [name]Kane[/name] is too rhymey. It would bother me a lot, when I was considering changing my surname when I got married the rhyminess with the middle syllable of my name really put me off. I didn’t end up changing it. Of your other options I love [name]Emmalyn[/name] (prefer [name]Emmeline[/name]), [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Clara[/name].

I have never been to the American [name]West[/name] so can’t speak to the “westernness” of the name, is that the most important thing to you? If I were you I would worry less about sibling sets and just try to find names you love! The neat thing about having twins is you could give them their own “style” of name without being too conspicuous. [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] would be my picks! Good luck!

Aww I just thought how cute [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] would be together! Still loving [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] though

I’ll keep my opinion short!
I love [name]Emmalyn[/name] and [name]Cassidy[/name] for first names. They fit your criteria and I think they go with your other children’s names.
What about…[name]Cassidy[/name] [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Emmalyn[/name] [name]Jean[/name]?
I think [name]Sienna[/name] sounds Western, although I have nothing to back it up with  Maybe [name]Sierra[/name] would be more Western?
Good luck!
