[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! [name_m]New[/name_m] to nameberry and need some opinions! We have 2 girls,
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], husband is Chilean so latin last name although unsure of using a Latin name as a first because he would be explaining himself with both names all the time! But open to suggestions
Hubby is a huge Superman fan and he would be in heaven if we named our baby [name_m]Clark[/name_m]. Not too popular right now which can be a good thing! Other option for Superman would be [name_m]Kal[/name_m] (not [name_m]Kal[/name_m]-[name_f]El[/name_f]) or variations of that like Kallahan.
Other names we have thought about: [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].
Open to suggestions but would love opinions on [name_m]Clark[/name_m] especially! What do you think of when you hear that name?
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] goes well with your daughters and wouldn’t be instantly thought of as a Superman reference. [name_m]Clark[/name_m] is a great choice.
[name_m]Kalil[/name_m] or [name_m]Kalle[/name_m] nn [name_m]Kal[/name_m] are also options.
[name_m]Clark[/name_m] is great. It’s a good name sake (defending the less fortunate? awesome!) It’s a surname name, but feels classic, fresh, and ready for use right now. Another option is [name_m]Kent[/name_m]. I prefer both to [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and both are more interesting than [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], though [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is very sweet.
I like [name_m]Clark[/name_m]… From your other list, I saw [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], and I think [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] would be a good combo.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] and [name_f]Love[/name_f] the suggestion of [name_m]Kent[/name_m]. They go very well with your daughters’ names. I think getting kree8tive to accommodate Krypton or [name_m]Kal[/name_m]-[name_f]El[/name_f] wouldn’t seem to gel with your daughters’ names.
[name_u]Lane[/name_u] (or other character names like [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] or [name_u]Perry[/name_u]) might lend inspiration if you’re open to it.
I like the name [name_m]Clark[/name_m] - its short, strong and packs a punch with only one-syllable. However, I would use it only as a mn because you already have a [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m] are too matchy for my comfort level. [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] would be fine but my fave is Oliver.
I like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] with your girls names. I like [name_m]Clark[/name_m] but I get a different feel from it then I do [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. Maybe [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m]?
Thanks so much for your opinions! I love the feedback! Using [name_m]Clark[/name_m] as a mn is also a great option. 10 more weeks to think about it, that’s enough time right?
You could also do a name like [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] or [name_m]Callum[/name_m] nn [name_u]Cal[/name_u], (I would prefer a C). Might be too close to [name_f]Kate[/name_f] though…
Otherwise I [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] would be cool! [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] are very classic and go great together, plus the middle [name_m]Clark[/name_m] gives your husband that Superman feel!
