Help for baby number 2!

We just found out that we are expecting baby number 2 this winter! It took us a long time to agree on a name for our daughter but eventually found one we both love, [name_f]Marah[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. Our last name starts with Wheel and ends in en. I don’t think I really have a style but I don’t want anything to common but nothing to unusual.

My husband and I really struggle with boys names. My favorite is [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] or [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. He likes [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. We don’t agree on them and don’t have any other options at the moment.

Some girls names I like are [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. My husband likes [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. I like his options but I worry they are too common and don’t fit well with [name_f]Marah[/name_f].

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

[name_f]Marah[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] seems fairly biblical to me so if you’d like to stick with that [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] really does work for a boy. [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] is a more common suggestion, still biblical but more similar to [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. For a girl…[name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] comes to mine, it’s short and pretty but more common like your husband’s picks are.

You could check out Nymbler.com, it’s also an app.

You put in names you like and it offers other names you might like.

Below are a few it offered when using your boy names

[name_u]Brennan[/name_u]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Kendrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
[name_m]Judson[/name_m]

Thank you for the suggestions! [name_f]Marah[/name_f] was a name we both loved and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is my moms middle name so we didn’t use it for biblical reasons so we don’t need to stick with that theme. I like [name_f]Eva[/name_f] but have a niece [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] so that’s a bit too close.

I think [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a good one. I agree that his options are kind of a different style from [name_f]Marah[/name_f].

[name_f]Adina[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Selah[/name_f]
[name_f]Zosia[/name_f]

[name_m]Abraham[/name_m]
[name_m]Abram[/name_m]
[name_m]Alec[/name_m]
[name_m]Amos[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m] (popular though)
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_m]Mathias[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]

Congrats on baby number two! [name_f]Marah[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is a truly beautiful name! You did a great job naming her and finding a name you both loved and agreed on so I’m sure you can do it again :).
I notice that you say you like your husbands suggestions for girls, but worry they’re too common/don’t fit next to [name_f]Marah[/name_f]. Maybe you’d like some of these similar names?
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]- [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Liliana[/name_f], [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]- [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f]
Also the names [name_f]Liana[/name_f] and [name_f]Luana[/name_f] and [name_f]Liora[/name_f] came to mind. They also have similar sounds as your husbands favourites, but also are less common. And they both have the same feminine, beautiful sound as [name_f]Marah[/name_f]. [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f], [name_f]Keziah[/name_f], [name_f]Jada[/name_f], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Zion[/name_u] and [name_u]Simone[/name_u]/[name_f]Simona[/name_f] would compliment [name_f]Marah[/name_f] very beautifully I think too.
As far as boys names… the first idea that came to mind was [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]. [name_f]Marah[/name_f] and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] make a stunning sibset! Both quiet and smooth names, they feel well matched to me. [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] has that modern feel your husband seems drawn to, while still being somewhat unusual. Second thought was [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], but this is probably more your style then your dh’s. These feel a bit random, but maybe:

[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_m]Kale[/name_m]
[name_m]Kian[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_m]Omar[/name_m]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]

All the best!

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]Parker[/name_u] or [name_f]Marah[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]/[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Marah[/name_f]?

Your choices are actually really similar to my style. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] are both on our top 5 list of what we hope to name our children and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a top contender of mine too! [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] doesn’t seem too popular to me, but maybe it is where you live.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_u]Zola[/name_u]
[name_f]Alessia[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]

[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] (more DH’s style, but you could still have [name_m]Eli[/name_m] as a nickname)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m]
