[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
I’m in a tough situation. I’m having a really hard time with finding baby girl names I like. Then when I do, I find out my close friend likes the same name! So unlucky. I’m not afraid to still use it because I like it but was hoping you could help with suggestions. The name I like is [name]Oakley[/name]. I like different but not way out there names. I like the feel of a country girl/outdoorsy name. I’ve heard of the Aspins, Willows, and names like that so I would like to hear some fresh ones. I know that’s a challenge but I thought I would try! Really looking forward to what you come up with! Thanks a bunch!
[name]Rowan[/name] was the first name that came to mind. What about [name]Maple[/name]? Here’s a great list of tree names: Arboreal Names - British Baby Names
I noticed the theme, so I thought I’d throw that out there.
[name]Sage[/name]! It’s my favorite name of all time—sleek yet warm, calm yet spunky, and modern yet nature-y. My vote is for [name]Sage[/name]!
haha I didn’t even notice that I gave all tree names. They are just some of the more used names that popped into my head. Does [name]Oakley[/name] make you think of the sunglasses brand? Seem to masculine? I’ve heard of [name]Paisley[/name], kind of like it, but that is another name my friend likes. Does it make you think of the fabric pattern?
[name]Meadow[/name], [name]Rae[/name], [name]Forrest[/name], [name]Skye[/name], [name]Brooke[/name], [name]River[/name], [name]Indi[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Onyx[/name]? I couldn’t gage from your post whether you are expecting or not, or if you’re friend is, however if neither of you aren’t then I wouldn’t worry about liking the same name as it’ll all come down to how has a baby first.
No, yes, and yes. I don’t know an [name]Oakly[/name] sunglasses brand (if it’s American then I clearly wouldn’t as I’m in [name]England[/name]), but yes [name]Oakley[/name] does sound more masculine however most surname-turn-names do to me. And yes, I can only think of the pattern when I hear [name]Paisley[/name] which is probably why I strongly dislike it.
I would suggest [name]Quincy[/name], [name]Darcy[/name], [name]Larkin[/name], [name]Finley[/name], [name]Marlow[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name]
I’m sorry to hear of your dilemma! [name]How[/name] about:
[name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Connelly[/name]
[name]Ainsley[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name]
[name]Everly[/name]
[name]Cadence[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]

[name]Juniper[/name]
[name]October[/name]
[name]Linnea[/name]
Not expecting, yet! My husband and I are seriously talking about trying this year for our first. Big step! So I’m probably just freaking out a little too much about the name. My friend and her husband are talking about it too so who knows will have a baby first and what gender. Girl names are just so hard for me to find something I like! Thanks for your suggestions!
I think of [name]Annie[/name] [name]Oakley[/name] when I hear [name]Oakley[/name] (though I’m aware of the sunglasses) so I thought I’d find some [name]Wild[/name] [name]West[/name] Names to suggest to you… [name]How[/name] about [name]Carson[/name], [name]Jessie[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Nellie[/name], [name]Belle[/name], [name]Cody[/name], [name]Cassidy[/name], [name]Parker[/name] or [name]Kit[/name]?
And maybe you should stop talking about names with your friend That way if you find one you like, she can’t say you got it from her.
Good luck!
