I would like to honor my grandfathers, but I’m not sure how to with the names I like. One of my grandfathers is [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], but went by [name_u]Gene[/name_u] all the time. The other is named [name_u]Jay[/name_u] [name_u]Roy[/name_u]. The problem with this one is that [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is used a lot in my family. I have an uncle named [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u], a cousin named [name_u]Cody[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u], and a second cousin named [name_u]Jay[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m]. One name that I already have that I love is [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m]. Here are some names I like, but aren’t sure how to incorporate my grandfathers’ names:
If you’re not against 2 middle names, my suggesyis [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] (jay and [name_u]Roy[/name_u] combined as [name_u]Ray[/name_u]).
Another suggestion:
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m]
Well the obvious thing would be to use their names as middle names. I quite like the sound of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u], [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] and [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m].
Or you could get inspired by their names.
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m]: [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Neville[/name_m], [name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_m]Cillian[/name_m], [name_m]Ilya[/name_m]
[name_m]Eugene[/name_m]: [name_m]Euan[/name_m], [name_m]Albert[/name_m] (similar meaning), [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] (similar meaning)
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]: [name_u]Jaden[/name_u], [name_m]Jayce[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_u]Shay[/name_u]
[name_u]Roy[/name_u]: [name_u]Ray[/name_u], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Rohan[/name_u], [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] (meaning), [name_u]Clancy[/name_u] (meaning), [name_u]Reed[/name_u] (meaning)
[name_u]Jay[/name_u] [name_u]Roy[/name_u] could be honoured in [name_m]Jared[/name_m]/[name_m]Jarod[/name_m], [name_m]Jarrett[/name_m], [name_u]Jameson[/name_u], maybe
[name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] ‘[name_u]Gene[/name_u]’ could maybe be honoured with [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m], [name_m]Gage[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_m]Euan[/name_m]
Great names to choose from! I really like [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] and [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], they’re hidden gems. [name_u]Gene[/name_u] is especially cool!
Congratulations on your new addition to the family.
Since your grandfather [name_u]Jay[/name_u] already has so many tributes, maybe just stick with [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] or [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] as a middle name. [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] sounds better and goes better with lots of other names.
