Help I need a girl name

I have three boys and am expecting my fourth child the week of 4th of [name]July[/name]. my husband and I cannot agree on anything. Any thoughts on the name [name]Navy[/name] for a girl? Kind of patriotic right? Suggestions

To be honest, i personally am not a fan of [name]Navy[/name] as a name, especially for a girl. You could name her [name]Erica[/name], which is like [name]America[/name] without the Am. You could even make the middle name starting with Am… Like [name]Amy[/name] or [name]Amelia[/name] or [name]Amber[/name]. Cant get much more patriotic than naming your little bundle of joy after her birthplace!

Take care and good luck with whatever you choose!

Like jennymama, I would do [name]America[/name]… BUT I have always LOVED [name]Americus[/name] (I came across this years ago from “Where The Heart Is”) and [name]Liberty[/name].

I don’t particularly like [name]Navy[/name]. What about [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Julia[/name]? It has the first three letters of [name]July[/name] in them. Other random ideas:

[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Haven[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Mila[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Aspen[/name]
[name]Angelina[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Lilia[/name]

I personally don’t like [name]Navy[/name] for a girl. As a civilian who married a soldier I can see it from both sides. [name]Navy[/name] is just a boring blue color to civilians and you would always have to bring up the patriotic link. From a military perspective it would definitely be clear but with every single active duty [name]Navy[/name] sailor they each wear the name [name]Navy[/name] right on their chest , making the name a little boring off the bat. If the navy is your branch due to family or dear friends, why not [name]Sailor[/name] for a girl? Much cuter and an automatic patriotic name without explanation .[name]Liberty[/name] and [name]Freedom[/name] are some other great patriotic names. Good luck!

[name]Navy[/name] reminds me of sailors…and everything that is associated with sailors and it’s not a pretty image.

[name]Liberty[/name] would make a nice choice. I think [name]Betsy[/name] would be really cute ([name]Elizabeth[/name], call her [name]Betsy[/name]),as in [name]Betsy[/name] [name]Ross[/name]. Maybe something like [name]Glory[/name] or [name]Honor[/name]. [name]Julie[/name] = [name]July[/name]?

[name]Just[/name] some ideas. [name]Navy[/name] just bring up bad connotations.

Oh gosh, [name]Sailor[/name] is even worse. It brings to mind “cuss like a sailor” and all kinds of other unpleasant things I don’t want associated with my daughter.

For a Fourth of [name]July[/name] baby, I would use [name]Liberty[/name], [name]America[/name], or [name]Freedom[/name]. Maybe not necessarily as the first name, but certainly as a middle name. [name]Navy[/name] doesn’t make me think patriotic; I see it more as a color name than a patriotic name.
