Help!!! I'm Desperate!!

We leave in two days for an overseas adoption, and I still can’t decide on our little girl’s name. We have 3 other children, [name]Jonathan[/name] ([name]Jon[/name]), [name]Evan[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name] ([name]Cate[/name]) Here is the names I have been thinking about.

[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Ella[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name])
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Lizzie[/name])
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name]

[name]Rose[/name] is a family name and we really want to use it. I would appreciate any feedback or comments.

Wow! [name]How[/name] exciting!

[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: I love [name]Eleanor[/name], but the Rs cancel themselves out to me with [name]Rose[/name] in the middle.
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: For me, the trendy/modern/surname [name]Harper[/name] doesn’t work with the classic [name]Catherine[/name] or [name]Jonathan[/name] and [name]Evan[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: I love [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name], and think it works beautifully with [name]Catherine[/name].
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name]: It’s a bit sss heavy, but I do think it’s very, very pretty…

From your list and taking your kids’ lovely names into account, I’d personally go with either [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], or [name]Lucy[/name]. With [name]Rose[/name] in the middle, I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] is beautiful.

Have you thought about using [name]Rose[/name] as a first name? (I [name]LOVE[/name] it!)

[name]Rose[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Marielle[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] followed by [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] nn [name]Ella[/name]

Let us know what you decide and hope we have helped you!

PS [name]Jill[/name] I love your suggestions.

I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name], it gives the same elegant options that the rest of your children have to fall back on if they want to use a more official full name. Plus it’s just my favorite name of the four

[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is my fave nn [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Liza[/name], [name]Lizzy[/name], [name]Libby[/name], [name]Betsy[/name], [name]Bess[/name]. Also love [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] unless you have an “s” or soft “c” sound in your last name.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Jill[/name]'s idea of using [name]Rose[/name] as a first name.

Also love:
[name]Rosalie[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name]
[name]Rosamond[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Rose[/name]

Especially love [name]Jill[/name]'s idea of [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Rose[/name]!

Of your choices I like [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Ella[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name]) - I love [name]Eleanor[/name], but I have to agree with [name]Jill[/name] that the r’s cancel each other out …
[name]Harper[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - as with [name]Eleanor[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Lizzie[/name]) - perfect; classic and beautiful.
[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - very pretty, but quite short.

So my vote is for [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name]! I also adore [name]Rose[/name] and all its variations as fns.

Good luck, and let us know what you decided when you get back!

I like [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] the best! Then [name]Elizabeth[/name], then [name]Lucy[/name]. [name]Harper[/name] is pretty but I think the other three names go better with your other childrens names.

(note to [name]Rollo[/name] and [name]Susan[/name]: Thanks!)

My vote goes to [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rose[/name] (I don’t think the r’s get lost, at least not when I say it) or [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. [name]Both[/name] fit beautifully with your other childrens’ names. [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Rose[/name] fits as well, but it is a bit short and insubstantial for my taste. I think that [name]Harper[/name] is far too modern for your classic set.
