My girls’ list gives me chills. I love the names on it. [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] makes me swoon. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] makes me giggle. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] makes me smile. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] makes me feel so happy. I could name 10 daughters and feel good about their names (after I agonized over the perfect combinations… not so great at that… but I digress).
But my boys list feels so dull in comparison! There are undeniably great names on it. Any one of which would work on a little boy and he wouldn’t grow up to hate his name. But they don’t inspire me the way my girl’s list does.
A few do: I really love [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Westley[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m], but these are relatively new and I’m not married to them yet.
I also have a thing for short, punchy “nicknamey” names for boys: [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_u]Gus[/name_u], [name_u]Freddie[/name_u].
But often can’t find longer versions I love as much.

I had no idea that [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] was a dinnerware; I always associated it as a place name. I think I like [name_m]Lenox[/name_m] better, maybe. [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] kind of reminds me of a hybrid of [name_m]Lennon[/name_m] and [name_m]Knox[/name_m]!
Also I know like 20 [name_u]Dylan[/name_u]'s and only like 2 [name_u]Dillon[/name_u]'s. I prefer the traditional, Gaelic spelling. But I agree, its super popular, especially for 90s-2000s.
